A holiday update

Happy Holidays!

Happy holidays everyone! I’ve been MIA for quite some time, I’m sorry for the lack of updates. I should include on my New Year’s Resolution to update my blog regularly next year. As much as I would like to write and posts all my food-related posts, I just can’t find the time because orders from my online shop, Pink Fortune, kept pouring and I can’t turn them down. And I’m really thankful for my sales this year, yey!

Aside from my shop, I’ve been busy with our Christmas presentation in the office, we have to make a music video instead of the usual group presentation of a sing/dance number on the day of our party. I thought a music video is cool and less time-consuming but I was wrong. It took away all my December weekends because we have to go to location shoots, hehe. But all our hardwork and embarassment paid off, we bested the four groups with our Honey by Mariah Carey. Kudos to our director Alvin and our beautiful lead star whose name I won’t reveal, hehe… Geeesh, I don’t know why I’m posting this but anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy our amateur music video… look for me in that vid =)

Tired but blessed

In case you’re wondering, where the hell are the updates on this blog, well, there are a lot blog entries waiting to be written and photos lined up to be posted but due to some fortunate reasons, I really can’t find the time to update as much as I want to. Fortunate reasons because my previous employer from Odesk made contact with me for a new project and my online shop is kickin’ because it’s Christmas season and more and more shoppers are starting to fill up their Christmas loots. I’m pretty swamped and tired, but I’m still grateful for all the blessings. Not having enough sleep, still go to work, shipping of online orders and doing an online job can get really chaotic…

28 and LX3

I turned 28 today, rocking 28 years and more to come! Every year, I’m more and more grateful of the blessings I received. I just let things happen according to God’s will, believe me, leaving all your worries behind about the future and let God’s guidance lead your life is the most effective way to have a stress-free and content life.

Enough of the drama, I just want to share Jeff’s gift for my birthday. He saved up for this ever since he knew that I really wanted to replace my old Canon digital camera, wrapped humbly in a newspaper…

It’s Krrunch Time, get Playful!

Filipinos are known to be generous and thoughtful, that’s why wherever part of the world they may be, they don’t forget their loved ones left in the Philippines. Thanks to technology, we can keep in touch with each other and the misery that comes with distance is somehow alleviated. From time to time, our loved ones in the US always remembers to send a little something for relatives here in the Philippines, hence, the emergence of Balikbayan Box. For those who aren’t familiar, the box is full of imported goodies, new and used clothes, imported chocolates, Spam (not the email kind, hehe), sausages, perfumes, toys and other things for your whole Filipino clan.

My thoughts when donating relief goods

When I went to the supermarket the other day for biscuits, canned goods and juices for Ondoy victims, I can’t help but smile to the other shoppers whose carts where also filled with groceries meant for the typhoon victims. Shelves in the supermarket ran out of canned sardines, but this is good news, that only means a lot of people already bought them for donations. Some reports state that other relief operation centers are overstaffed with volunteers, I hope more people will donate so that more goods can be packed by these volunteers. Keep ’em coming!

Stranded at NAIA Terminal 3 for 15hours due to typhoon Ondoy

September 26, 2009, Saturday, we went to NAIA Terminal 3 at 9 am to fetch my mother who’s arriving from Kalibo, Aklan. On our way to the airport around 8 am, it was already raining hard and some roads going to the airport were starting to get flooded but still passable. At 10:27 am, Cebu Pacific flight 5J 332 arrived and minutes later, we’re all ready to go home to Caloocan. From NAIA Terminal 3, we will go to Airport Road, Domestic Road, MIA Road and Macapagal Avenue to get to Caloocan. It’s 11 am when we left the airport and the situation inside is still peaceful.
