Ever since we were little, dogs have been a part of our family. Our dogs became our playmate especially when they are still puppies, playful and energetic. At that time, we always have 2 pet dogs, for me and my brother, and we would each take care of them. At present, we really don’t have time to take care of any kind of pets, even small pets. But when time comes that we’ll move to a bigger space and more time to take care of pets, I want to be an owner of a pug!

It’s the time of the year again when we have to pay for the car registration renewal in LTO. Honestly, the LTO should have an option for the car owners to register their vehicles for 2 years, 3 years, etc… So that we won’t have to go yearly to the LTO and undergo the same process over and over again. I listed the documents needed for car registration renewal and our expenses for this year.
Documents required for renewal of private vehicle registration are:
1. Original copy of Certificate of Registration and last year’s original Official Receipt of payment
2. Insurance Certificate of Cover or Third Party Liability (TPL) insurance – paid Php 970
3. Emission Testing, go to an accredited testing center. In LTO Las Pinas, you can find the Green Star Emission Testing inside the LTO – paid Php 415
4. Motor Vehicle Inspection Report form – you can download this form at the LTO website
The vehicle registration fee depends on the year and make of your car, in our case, we paid Php 2,629. A total of Php 4,014 spent on car registration renewal.
Car registration at the LTO is fast and orderly, you can finish the whole procedure in 2 to 3 hours. No need to deal with fixers.
Online tutoring is one of the popular sidelines and even full-time jobs in the Philippines today. Aside from it’s fun, it has a decent pay and you get to work only for a few hours. My sister-in-law worked as an online tutor for Koreans before she worked in a call center. She taught English subjects only but sometimes her students asked her for math help. She ended up giving free math help to her students albeit her dislike in math. She became close to her students, they even extend their tutoring session just to tell stories about their lives, crushes, problems, etc. She must have impressed her student’s parents because they offered my SIL to be an online math tutor as well. She declined the offer because she pursued other job.
On September 12, 2009, this marks the 11th year of Jeff and me as sweethearts. 11 years and counting, that’s how long Jeff and I were together since our first year in college. Even though our wedding anniversary is on January, we still celebrate our special day on September. We still give gifts to each other no matter how simple they are, dine in a restaurant and spend time with each other. After so many years, I sometimes ran out of gift ideas to give. The Internet is a great source for ideas, and after some online “window” shopping, I think hubby needs a formal watch. I’m lemming to buy the his and hers version of the watches.

Reading Ms. Janette Toral’s observations for this year’s project, I cannot agree more! Blogging is for everybody (rich or poor, with or without your own PC, with or without HTML/CSS knowledge, young or not-so-young), as long as you can write, then blog. And the most important value that everyone can benefit from blogging is camaraderie.
