When I reached my 30s, I became more conscious about skin care. The first skin care I used was Celeteque Anti-wrinkle Power Serum Break-off Capsules. I swear by this product, unfortunately they discontinued this one but they still have a great line-up of anti-aging products. When it comes to make-up, I use it sparingly and only wear them on special occasions because I wanted my skin to breathe. We are also often warned about the way makeup can dry out and grease up the skin, working against the effects of good skin care.
Cathy Doll Philippines Haul
I was wandering around the beauty section of Robinsons Magnolia few weekends ago and the pretty packaging of Cathy Doll products caught my eye. Pinks, pastels, bright colors, cute illustrations…the next thing I know I’m talking to the staff and asking her about their products. At first I thought Cathy Doll is made in Korea, but Cathy Doll is made in Thailand, it’s just Korean-inspired. I use a lot of Korean beauty products but I also have high regards to Thailand beauty products, especially when it comes with whitening. And from the range of products from Cathy Doll, I think Filipinas with morena skin have a lot of options here.
Laneige Snow BB Cream – a review
Part of my beauty haul in HK is this Laneige Snow BB Cream SPF 42/PA++ in #2 Natural. I always pass by the Laneige store which is just around the vicinity of our hotel and one night, the staff volunteered to test the BB cream on me. I’m not fair-skinned so I got hopeless in finding BB creams that will match my skin tone. So anyway, I was told that Laneige Snow BB Cream only has 2 shades: #1 Brightening and #2 Natural. The staff both tested the 2 shades and suggested that Natural looks best for my skin tone (as expected :p).
I was easily convinced so I walked out of the store with a new BB cream. It is priced at HKD 260 (around Php 1,300++ when converted), I inquired at Laneige in Trinoma and it’s around Php 1,700.
Human Heart Nature Balancing Face Toner – a review
I love Human Heart Nature products! I love HHN mostly because it’s proudly Pinoy and it uses natural ingredients. I’m a fan of their shampoo and conditioner so I gave their facial washes and toner a try. I love all their facial washes, I enjoyed using them so much that I emptied the bottle that fast without making a review, hihi, maybe next time.
For now, here’s a review of Human Heart Nature Balancing Face Toner.
3 things I’m loving right now
This beauty blog of mine, as you have noticed, doesn’t get updated quite often. I have plenty of beauty products to review yet so little time to take decent photos of it. It’s different with my other blogs, in here, I have to take product shots and the before and after photos. And I have to make sure I look good in the photos (haha, which is another reason I don’t do plenty of reviews…)
But with this blog’s latest make-over, I feel more inspired to write here. Thanks to Pat for my very girly blog design, love it to bits! Do you like it too?
