Laneige Snow BB Cream – a review

Part of my beauty haul in HK is this Laneige Snow BB Cream SPF 42/PA++ in #2 Natural. I always pass by the Laneige store which is just around the vicinity of our hotel and one night, the staff volunteered to test the BB cream on me. I’m not fair-skinned so I got hopeless in finding BB creams that will match my skin tone. So anyway, I was told that Laneige Snow BB Cream only has 2 shades: #1 Brightening and #2 Natural. The staff both tested the 2 shades and suggested that Natural looks best for my skin tone (as expected :p).

I was easily convinced so I walked out of the store with a new BB cream. It is priced at HKD 260 (around Php 1,300++ when converted), I inquired at Laneige in Trinoma and it’s around Php 1,700.

Benefits of mineral makeup

Two or three years ago, mineral makeup was all the hype. And even if I’m not a makeup person, I tried several products from Ellana, Venus & Mars and the pure mineral makeup from Pure Skin Cosmetics.

Maybelline Hypersharp Liner – a review

Liquid eyeliners seem to be a must-have in everybody’s kikay kits these days. Maybe because liquid liners can instantly transform your eyes dramatically. I’m a fan of eyeliners and I use the pencil-types since collegeĀ  (my version of an eye make-up consists of an eyeliner+mascara). On my recent Sasa escapades in Hong Kong, I was confused with all the varieties of liquid liners from Japanese brands, waterproof, etc…

One of the most affordable liquid liner I got is this Maybelline Hypersharp Liner in Intense Black.

Tony Moly Tony Tint in Red Apple – a review

My first lip and cheek tint is Bench’s Pretty When Pinched, it’s a purple color but gives off a reddish tint when applied on cheeks. Bench’s PWP has been in my kikay kit back in college. A few months back, I bought Pretty When Pinched again for old time’s sake but got disappointed because it’s not that pigmented and doesn’t have the staying power like their old formulation.

So I decided to try a new brand, this time with Tony Moly. I asked the SA for their lip and cheek tint and she gave this Tony Tint. It comes in two shades, Red Apple and Cherry Pink. Unfortunately, Cherry Pink is sold out. I bought the Red Apple for Php 278, I don’t have anything to compare with anyway.

I’ve been using this for months hence the beaten up packaging

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Fuchsia – a review

I’m still not over the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter craze that’s why I often visit Revlon whenever I’m at the health and beauty section. I was shopping with my Nanay one time and I convinced her to get her own Revlon lip butters as well. After trying out some shades, Nanay can’t find the color she likes, good thing the SA recommended to try on the Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks instead. I want her to have a pink lipstick because she already has plenty of red lippies, she finally zeroed in on Fuchsia…

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Sweet Tart – a review

I finally gave in to the hype among beauty bloggers, I bought my own tube of Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter. After all, the words “lip butter” is perfect for my extremely dry lips hence I gravitate towards lip balms more. A tube of Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter costs Php 525 at SM Department Store. Be prepared swatching because there are lots of colors to choose from, from peach, pink and red hues…

I don’t have a pink lipstick yet, and I’m perennially looking for my lips-but-better-shade of lipstick, so I picked up Sweet Tart among the bunch.
