I was wandering around the beauty section of Robinsons Magnolia few weekends ago and the pretty packaging of Cathy Doll products caught my eye. Pinks, pastels, bright colors, cute illustrations…the next thing I know I’m talking to the staff and asking her about their products. At first I thought Cathy Doll is made in Korea, but Cathy Doll is made in Thailand, it’s just Korean-inspired. I use a lot of Korean beauty products but I also have high regards to Thailand beauty products, especially when it comes with whitening. And from the range of products from Cathy Doll, I think Filipinas with morena skin have a lot of options here.
Aside from the irresistibly cute packaging, I love that Cathy Doll products come in trial sizes and pocket-friendly prices. It’s perfect for a students’ budget and even moms like me :). Trial sizes also allows you to try the products and see if it works for your skin or not. I hope more beauty products (especially the expensive ones) will come up with trial sizes too!

CC Speed White Powder Pact SPF 40 PA+++, Php 399
I bought this powder pact because this is the first time I encountered a powder pact with high SPF and 12 hours oil control, and it’s just Php 399! I have yet to test the 12 hours promise of oil control so watch out for the next post.
CC Cream Speed White SPF 50+ PA+++, trial size less than Php 100
Cathy Doll Speed White CC Cream SPF 50+ PA+++ has a lightweight formula that will not clog your pores. Just like the powder pact, this CC Cream promises 12 hours of oil control.
I’ve been using the trial size for 2 weeks straight as face sunscreen. I didn’t experience any breakouts so I’m going to buy the full size. I love the non-sticky feel because of its water-based formula. It also has this cooling effect a few minutes after application, perfect for our humid weather.
Other trial packs I bought are So Happy Berry Yogurt Peeling Gel and Gold Splash Essence with Bee Venom. All trial sizes are less than 100 pesos, some are less than 50 pesos pa nga.
