With this 34-35 degree Celsius temperature here in Metro Manila, who could resist a cold treat? A fruit shake, a Magnum, or even a dirty ice cream, anything just to keep me from overheating. One time after lunch, I chanced upon a store that sells Korean ice cream, I know it’s Korean because of the characters, hahaha. They have Melona but I bought the one similar to an ice cream sandwich at Php 40 each.

What’s the fuss about Magnum?
About three weeks ago and up until now, social media is full of discussions about a certain ice cream. If you don’t know by now what I’m referring too, it’s Magnum, a new ice cream brought by Selecta and is sold for Php 55-60 per piece. It comes in three flavors: Classic, Almond and Chocolate Truffle.
Hainanese Delights
After a facial and a bit of shopping last weekend with Nanay at SM North Edsa, we decided to eat and so we passed by the rows of restaurants at the mall and just let her pick the restaurant of her choice. Then we both saw the brightly lit newly opened Hainanese Delights, and knowing that Hainanese chicken is right up her alley, we took a seat and surveyed the menu. We were immediately served complimentary soups while thinking of what to order.
Judging from its interiors, I thought that the food will be pricey but I was glad that most of their dishes are in the Php 120-Php 150 range, so affordable. We ordered the Hainanese Delights and Hot Chick.
