Razon’s: halo-halo should not be a carnival of ingredients

How do you like your halo-halo? Do you like it with lots of ingredients? Do you want it with ice cream on top? Leche flan or ube? There are so many variations of halo-halo, it can be as simple as a few ingredients just like the ones sold in our neighborhood sari-sari store or indulge in an overloaded expensive halo-halo.

Home-cooked Buffalo Wings

During the Holy Week, we were craving for Wingman but we’re not sure if they are open that time. So I decided to experiment on using the McCormick Buffalo Wings Seasoning Mix I found in our cupboard. One pack contains a breading mixture and another pack for the buffalo sauce to be added after frying.

Romulo Cafe – a preview

I attended an event held at Romulo Cafe along Scout Tuazon, I heard about this restaurant before but never piqued my interest because they serve Filipino food, and I eat Filipino food at home everyday, hehe. But after trying out their food at this event, I will surely visit Romulo Cafe one of these days. The first thing that impressed me about Romulo Cafe is the homey ambiance because it’s formerly an old house transformed into a restaurant. The relaxed atmosphere made into stylish and chic because of the black and white interiors and damask wallpapers, love the wallpapers! Upstairs are the function rooms which can be rented for a fee but it’s also consummable. The event was held at one of their function rooms, Kasiyahan room.

Now, a preview of their food…

And Pinoys eat rice wherever we go, right? Yoshinoya also opens early, around 7 or 8 am so it’s perfect for breakfast before you head to your HK adventure.

Yoshinoya is famous for their….BEEF BOWL! Thin slices of beef over perfectly cooked rice seasoned with their signature sauce…

HK Choco Finds

For the chocoholics like me, Hong Kong may be one of my fave places. This is because there are wide variety of chocolates available, some can’t be found in our groceries. And for dark chocolate lovers, you’ll find lots of them at 7-eleven stores. While we’re in HK, we always pass by 7-eleven before going back to Taisan to buy chocolates for our midnight snack. Chocolates consumed a considerable amount from our pocket money.

Here are my chocolate finds during my recent HK trip:
