Causeway Seafood Restaurant, Banawe

Dimsum lovers strike again as we cruise along Banawe Street looking for Chinese restaurant that serves dimsum in a push cart. We’re looking for an eat-all-you-can promo but I haven’t encountered such in a Chinese restaurant. We spotted Causeway Seafood Restaurant, the busy parking area signifies that food must be good here.

It’s lunch time when we got there and the place is packed, we were greeted by this…

Buy me chocolates

I can really have simple pleasures in life. Buy me chocolates and I’ll be happy! My faves are Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Cadbury Three Wishes (discontinued *sad*), Hershey’s plain milk chocolate, dark chocolates, and Meiji chocolates varieties. When some of friends went to Universal Studios Singapore, they posted photos of the biggest Hershey’s chocolate bar I’ve seen, made me drool! Googled it and it’s big like the photo below:

Sakae Sushi: Eat-all-you-can Sushi Buffet

While everybody at SM Mall of Asia went trick-or-treating, we spent it with a sumptuous sushi overload at Sakae Sushi. They have an Eat-all-you-can Sushi Buffet from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Php 399 for adults, Php 299 for senior citizens, and Php 199 for kids. Sakae Sushi in Mall of Asia has the longest conveyor belt among its branches and so most likely, it has more sushi selections.

BRGR: The Burger Project – Maginhawa Street series

The Burger Project, this is the yummiest project I’m willing to do over and over again. BRGR: The Burger Project is a new burger joint  to grace Maginhawa Street in Teacher’s Village, the place occupied the same place of Pino Bar & Restaurant which moved to a new location in Malingap Street.

Cool interiors and vibrant and eye-popping colors make this small restaurant inviting especially to young burger lovers.

Sizzling Pepper Steak

We’re regular diners of Sizzling Pepper Steak but ironically, I seem to forget to blog about it. You see, I’m not a fan of sizzling plates, not until Pepper Lunch arrived, and Sizzling Pepper Steak.

One thing I like about Sizzling Pepper Steak is their modern asian interiors, unlike PL’s fastfood ambiance. Some SPS branches in malls already have comfort rooms so you don’t have to walk around the mall and then go back to eat.

Cocina Juan: Maginhawa Street series

I just unearthed my food photos of Cocina Juan, finally! We visited this place months ago based on a friend’s recommendation. And we’ve been back for a few times since then, affordable and good food. Perhaps this is one of the pre-requisites in opening a resto in Maginhawa St., food should be affordable for UP and other university students and must meet their discerning tastebuds. Cruising along Maginhawa St. is surely an adventure for food lovers like me, from Kiss the Cook Cafe, let me introduce you to Central American cuisine of Cocina Juan.

Cocina Juan according to Openrice.com:

Cocina Juan is a central American Inspired restaurant for the Filipino thus the tag line “Inspiration De Centro America, Plato para La Filipino”. The Dish Insipiration revolves around the use of Limon, Tortilla, Celantro, Cumin, Chilli, Chilli Tomate, Parsley, Basil, Tomate, Ajo, Mantikelya and Sibuya. Cocina Juan’s value proposition is to bring you to experience and taste central american inspired food “Comida”. Our concept is simple “We are here to serve Latin American inspired Food so that you may experience the latin Colors, Music, Culture and Art in each bite of each dish we bring out. Bienvendo Cocina Juan”.

Cocina Juan has no-fuss interiors, just plastic tables and chairs but they painted the walls with Mexican inspired colors. They also set up an outdoor dining area because the indoor dining area can only accomodate around 15-20 people. The waiters are very friendly and are pretty much in-the-know with their menu.
