I already made my Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009 weeks ago, but one entry was disqualified because I overlooked Jehan’s blog. She started blogging on March 2008, 2 months ahead of the qualifications to be able to included in the list. My apologies to Jehan, I felt guilty after reading her “Thank you post” but I’m still a fan of her writing. She already is influential, especially to her Korean-based blog community.
To complete my list, the talented doctor-slash-poet Doc Z of Zorlone enters the Top 10. I’ve known Doc Z and his blog through a small plurk conversation and now we’re plurk buddies. Had I discovered his poetry for a longer time, I’m pretty sure he’s already included on my first Top 10. He is influential indeed, he’s backed up by two influential bloggers on my list too, Kuya Roy of The Struggling Blogger and Jan of Writing to Exhale. Here’s what they have to say:
He’s as sharp with his poetry as a jedi is with his lightsaber 😉
In this day of fast paced life, we need poets. Doc Z is a terrific poet and creative writer. His poems make you reacquainted with your innermost feelings and aspirations.
And Doc Z says:
Creative writing is my niche, it started out as a frustration then became my glass of water of relief after a tiring long day.
I wonder what’s the secret of Doc Z’s play with words? Maybe it’s the Pancit Malabon or the Kakanin that his hometown is famous for… =)
