The scorching heat of the sun outside, mixed with the dust from the on-going road construction everywhere, makes you wish you were someplace cool and relaxing. But since Alaska or Switzerland is too far (and requires visa, passport, and lots of money!), you can just settle for the next best thing – Baguio. Well of course, aside from time, another issue would be money. A vacation won’t be enjoyable if you’re worrying too much about your budget. Good thing, there are now lots of affordable accommodations in Baguio. But how will you know which ones are the best value for your minimal budget? I find the Traveloka App handy to guide us in our search for the best budget hotels in Baguio.
I’ve set my budget to maximum of Php 3,000 per overnight stay for two persons. I also set my search results based on the review scores of other Traveloka users.
Here’s the list of the 5 budget hotels in Baguio under Php 3,000:
Located in Bukaneg St. – 0.47 kms away from Burnham Park and 0.83 kms away from Baguio Mountain Province Museum. Their deluxe room, which accommodates maximum of 2 persons, costs Php 2,995 and includes free breakfast; while their deluxe family room, which accommodates maximum of 4 persons, costs Php 4,295 and includes free breakfast as well. They also have apartelle units with cooking and dining facilities, perfect for those who want to explore the local markets and cook their own food, but breakfast is no longer included for these units. This hotel is relatively new, and they were well-commended for their cleanliness and comfort by Traveloka users.
Traveloka Tip: Traveloka gives the best price for hotels in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Use the Promo Quick Finder to see the cheapest prices from the last 48 hours.
Their Homey Studio Unit accommodates maximum of 2 persons and costs Php 2,755; while their Cozy 2 Bedroom Unit, which accommodates maximum of 4 persons, costs Php 4,275. This special price discount is available only to Traveloka members. The place is well-commended for its location – it is easily accessible to SM Baguio, Burnham Park, Session Road and Victory Liner, best for those who will be taking public transportation.
Traveloka Tip: Always check out the Traveloka Promotions Page for the latest promo deals or subscribe to the newsletter, it’s free.
I have always wanted to stay at Casa Vallejo every time we visit Baguio but they are always fully booked. It’s conveniently located in Upper Session Road near SM Baguio but away from the crowds along Session Road. Booklovers will have a grand time here because Mt. Cloud Book Shop is located here while foodies can eat at Hill Station Restaurant.
Traveloka Tip: Do not worry if your hotel choice is fully booked, Traveloka has the most extensive search results so you can still choose and compare from budget to 5-star hotels.
The name of this hotel somehow reminds me of Sex and the City – hello, Manhattan? Anyways, the Queen Room accommodates maximum of 2 persons, costs Php 1,900 and comes with free breakfast; while their Quadruple Room accommodates maximum of 4 persons, costs Php 3,500 and comes with free breakfast as well. Their service and comfort is well-commended by guests. The hotel is quite far from the city center, so it depends if you favor peace and quiet over accessibility to the busy central district.
Traveloka Tip: Pay via different payment methods when you book with Traveloka. It accepts credit cards (Visa, MasterCard) as well as payments made through internet and/or mobile banking via Dragonpay.
Their Double Deluxe Room accommodates maximum of 2 persons, costs Php 2,700 and includes free breakfast; while their Superior Family Room, which accommodates maximum of 4 persons, costs Php 3,000 and includes free breakfast as well. This special price discount is available only to Traveloka members. Another plus for this hotel is that they have four restaurants you can choose from (Lobby Lounge, Future Diner, Lotus House and Ivy’s Grill and Restaurant) and they also have Gloria Jeans Cafe inside the hotel – so no need to go far for your gastronomic adventure. Their location is also close to La Trinidad – so going to the Strawberry farm is just a stone’s throw away.
Traveloka Tip: Should you need further assistance with your bookings, Traveloka has 24/7 Customer Support which you can contact via email, phone, or live chat.
You can book these hotels directly thru Traveloka App, plus some of these hotels offer discounts available only to Traveloka members. I can’t stress enough how handy this app is so download and experience it for yourself, available in Google Play and App Store.

Nice app but It seems most places on your screenshot has fair to average rating only. But it looks very convenient to use as you can see Prices in one look at the map. It would greatly help you decide on picking a budget hotel for your stay.

These hotels have lots of amenities to offer and their prices are reasonable for those who find always time to travel like a local tourists. These hotels are far behind from me to be visited or occupied for I seldom or never travel except to attend conferences, seminars in connection with job before. Now I am already retired. There is no way that I could be out from our locality.
