Taisho Ramen & Teppanyaki House is one of the new restaurants that opened in SM North Edsa’s Sky Garden. Walking along Sky Garden alone offers you variety of dining options, and Taisho Ramen is one of them, it is located in the far end side, it’s the first restaurant you’ll see if you’re coming from Trinoma.
Check out the other ramen places I’ve tried:
- Ajisen Ramen
- Kimono Ken
- Ramen X
- Sumo Sam
- Genya Tonkotsu Ramen
- Teriyaki Boy
- Sakae Sushi
- Nomama
- Ramen Yushoken
- Ryu Ramen & Curry
- Hokkaido Ramen Santouka
- Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen
Taisho Ramen only has a small seating capacity (around 40-50 pax). I like how clean and bright their interiors, color scheme uses red and white.
They only have 3 ramen variants: Fresh Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen, Miso Ramen and Spicy Karamen. I was not in the mood for something spicy at that time so I got the Miso Ramen and Jeff ordered Tonkotsu Ramen.
Both ramen were just your average bowl. They said that their noodles are fresh but looks and tastes ordinary to me. I’m not really sure if the egg included is an Aji Tamago or just plain hard-boiled egg. Jeff and I agreed that the pork slices in our ramen are soft and flavorful.
What I like about Taisho are their condiments like red ginger, garlic cloves with a garlic crusher, soy sauce, pepper and salt to taste. Given these, you can adjust your ramen’s taste to your liking.
Ikaw na ang ramen queen sis! 🙂
