Cebu dancing inmates This Is It video

Cebu dancing inmates does it again, this time they dance to the tune of “Drill” and “They Don’t Really Care About Us”. The dance routines were taught by Michael Jackson’s choreographers Travis Payne, Daniel Celebre and Dres Reid. The video was filmed by Sony Pictures to be included in the “This Is It” DVD.

Be amazed, I’m proud with the Cebu Dancing inmates…

Boys Over Flowers Kissing Star Necklace

Boys Over Flowers is back! Thanks to ABS-CBN for moving the show at primetime so I can watch it again, yey! After gushing a lot about my favorite episodes in BOF especially the Boys Over Flowers in Macau, I just found a beautiful necklace similar to what Goo Jun Pyo gave to Jan Di that makes me want it so bad! It’s the Kissing Star necklace made by Stonehenge, a Korean company, and costs a whopping 238,000 Korean Won or 203 US dollars.

It’s expensive because it’s made of sterling silver but some folks made a replica hence BOF fans can get it at a cheaper price. The replica necklace is priced at 5.90 Singapore dollars or 4.2 US dollars.

I’m not sure of the quality though because I’m still deciding if I’ll push through with my purchase. I’ll keep you updated if I ordered or if I find a local seller here in the Philippines.

Kim Bum and Maja Salvador’s RC Cola TV Commercial

Thumbs up for the new RC Cola TV commercial featuring the Boys Over Flowers star Kim Bum and Maja Salvador. Kim Bum played the role of So Yi Jung in Boys Over Flowers while Maja Salvador is the current endorser of RC Cola. I love the dreamy feel of the commercial that reminds me of Koreanovelas that Filipinos are very fond of. The commercial premiered last Sunday but I wasn’t able to watch it, thanks to YouTube and the one who recorded and uploaded the video, SuperMika09 and Starmometer. Enjoy watching…

Direct TV in various parts of the US

My Auntie Norma who lives in Florida called us up yesterday, she’s been worried sick about our situation here in the Philippines. They are subscribed with Direct TV that’s why they are updated with international news even if they’re miles away.  The whole family is fine after 2 typhoons, she made a sigh of relief and thankful after knowing that. I kept laughing and at the same time, proud of the efforts my Auntie Norma has made just to keep contact with us. She’s already past her 60’s but she and her husband tried to use Yahoo Messenger and Skype and also Facebook to keep the communication lines open. Lola and Lolo Techies are sprouting everywhere, huh?

Meanwhile, if you have relatives in the US, you can also recommend to them to subscribe to Directv. My Auntie Norma’s family is happy with their subscription, aside from getting news from the Philippines via the international channels available, my Uncle Woody gets his daily dose of HD movies from HD channels available. They loved it so much they have to check if there’s a Direct TV in NY when their dearest daughter decided to move to New York to work.  They said it’s a perfect send-off gift or (welcome gift) to their daughter when she moves and lives on her own in the Big Apple.

On Broadway musicals

Are you fond of watching musicals like those in Broadway? Some people prefer watching plays and musicals rather than movies, it’s a matter of choice I guess. I had fun watching musicals when I was in high school, but I haven’t had the chance to watch anything since then. It might be the lack of musical plays or tickets are in sky-high prices that only the well-heeled class can afford.

For those in the US, they’re pretty lucky to have shows almost weekly. Their musicals have a variety and themes too, not just the usual Saigon music that we’re accustomed too. If you’re into rock music, buying Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets might be a good idea because it’s a rock ochestra, perfect for the boys too! Jersey Boys tickets are also on sale which is about a documentary musical of a rock and roll group in the 1960s. If you want a little bit of action, then watch the story of two Chicago pops strut their stunt in theater in A Steady Rain. Now this is interesting, an action-packed musical, gotta buy those A Steady Rain tickets.
