Merrell Adventure Run on Saturday
Jeff and I registered for the Merrell Adventure Run on Saturday, April 17, 2010. It will be held at Wawa Dam, Montalban. My first time to join an adventure run, so I’m a bit scared if I’ll be able to finish the race. Before, it was always paved and flat roads but now, I will be running on hilly terrains. Merrell Adventure Run’s multiply site posted the route map for 5 km.

What I’m reading from the map is Rockwall?, Boulder Field? Hill Top? Stream? Uh oh…. wish me luck that I won’t call me a medic in the race. And to add to the challenge, the organizers set cut-off times for corresponding routes:
- 15km – 2 hours and 45 minutes
- 5km – 1 hour and 10 minutes
- 3km – 40 minutes
My average time when running and walking combined in a 5 km. route in UP or in Takbo Para sa Kalikasan event is 45 minutes. But given the different trail setting, I know I’m going past 1 hour…. let’s see.

Never experienced fun run actually. Pero I’m dying to try one kasi parang enjoy eh. U seems nervous pero excited, agree? Goodluck and have fun badet!

Nope, like the others, we got stuck for about 20-30 minutes along the trail because some confusion on the trail markers. And the last 1 km. leg is so draining. Haven’t posted my experience pa, maybe by friday. Thanks for asking.
