Single moms can be socially awkward for hanging out with a baby almost 24/7. Give her time to warm up to being able to talk to an actual adult.

DON’T let the kid freak you out.
Single moms won’t usually introduce you to the kid until she knows that this relationship is serious.

While you’re not required to be a kid’s dad, be there for the kid. Include the kid in your plans sometimes. Loving the kid FOR REAL earns you big points with the mom.
