While at SM The Block, we decided to have dinner except at Mexicali. I told Jeff our faces are already familiar there and they know our orders even before reaching the counters, haha. So we searched for our next candidate resto, we saw Kimono Ken, it’s pretty packed so the food must be good. I got overwhelmed with their menu because of the variety of choices, from the sushi, sashimi, maki, chicken/pork/beef, and ramen.
I settled for Kimono Roll, it has mango, spicy tuna and tempura.

We’re fans of Sizzling Pepper Steak but sometimes, we get tired of their sizzling menu so we gave it’s sister restaurant a try, Teriyaki Boy. I salute their management in dividing the area of the restaurants into two places with distinctive style. In the North Edsa branch, I love the circular sofas inside Teriyaki Boy, perfect for group dining. The air conditioners are also not affected by the smoke that comes from the food at Sizzling Pepper Steak.

Since January, the concessionaire who sells lunch and merienda in our office building ended their contract. There’s a new seller but we don’t like the taste and just by the looks of all their cooked meals, they’re all rather unappealing. So aside from the good ol’ McDonalds, KFC and the foodcourt at ELJ Building, we also frequent Makisushi. Makisushi has been existent since I worked in QC but never really paid attention until months ago.
While everybody at SM Mall of Asia went trick-or-treating, we spent it with a sumptuous sushi overload at Sakae Sushi. They have an Eat-all-you-can Sushi Buffet from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Php 399 for adults, Php 299 for senior citizens, and Php 199 for kids. Sakae Sushi in Mall of Asia has the longest conveyor belt among its branches and so most likely, it has more sushi selections.
