Pobox.ph experience

It’s our second time to use forwarding services, first was Johnny Air Cargo. But since Johnny Air Cargo no longer offer consolidation services for free, we looked for other options. I found Pobox.ph rates very affordable, plus they offer consolidation of your shopped items in the US for free. Same procedure applies, shop in US online stores and have it delivered to their US address (warehouse). They can hold your items for a maximum of 45 days before packing them into a box and shipping it to the Philippines. It takes 4 weeks by sea for the packages to reach Philippine shores but they delivered the box door-to-door.

Pobox.ph yellow box

The box above is worth $40 and can fit items with dimensions not longer than 43″ to 50″ irregardless of the weight. Let’s see, this box contained 1 North Face tent, several bike accessories and gears which are heavy and memory cards. The only negative point I can say on Pobox.ph is that they don’t respond to queries/emails quickly. They also don’t update regularly and accurately the shipping form they have on the website to know which items have already arrived at their warehouse. But a constant follow-up thru emails and texts will get you a reply eventually.

  2. I’m glad to know another great testimony that pobox do deliver the items bought from US. This will assure my sister that her items will also make it to our doorstep. She’s just waiting a few items for Amazon to deliver it pobox warehouse before giving the go signal for shipment.

  3. What is a consolidation fee?

    Badet Reply:

When you shop from different sties online, like Amazon, Victoria’s Secret, etc… items come from different merchants. What they do is gather them and put them all in one box. They charge a premium for this.

  4. Hi,

    Greetings from Johnny Air.

We also do consolidation of packages. this is how it works.
If consolidation of orders is being requested, we can also do this but a maximum gathering period of only 5 days from the arrival of the initial packages to be consolidated. After such period, whatever have been received will be shipped. There is a consolidation fee of US$25 to cover for storage, handling and other
    logistical work needed.

If you have any questions, please let me know. My email address in nelo_jac_corporate@yahoo.com. you can also our website at http://www.johnnyair.com and click Johnny Air Plus, click on Online Tab for online shopping.

    Thanks.

    Hi mis badet?
    Thanks for the info.
I have items on pobox right now. They all arrived at their ofis in CA 2 weeks ago and i told them to ship my items.
Still the items is in their office in CA. Celine the staff always tells me shes gonna check for the updates
I asked for the updates for more than 4 times and still no update. They can’t even compute the billing statement within 2 weeks.
I would appreciate if we can talk on the phone or chat just to share ur and my experience in pobox..

  7. Hi Badet,

Thanks for the info about Pbox.PH. I’ve been looking for reviews about this shipping company. I want to buy some baby stuff in Target and I think I’ll use Pobox.

Can you enlighten me more about the process? Like I’m in Target online store and I just click Add to Cart to the stuff that I want to buy. Then, in check Out, I’ll just indicate Pobox’s address. Then what will happen next?

    Thanks!

    [Reply]

    Badet Reply:

Yup, after that, you also have to email Pobox of the tracking number of your package in Target so that they’ll know that it’s for you. I think you also have to fill out the form on their website.

    Badet Reply:

    Hi Lori,

I checked their website here (http://pobox.ph/index.php/rates) and the yellow box does not have LWH dimensions eh.

    Hi Badet,

Oo nga e, nakalagay lang not more than 43″, I’ve no idea how to compute for that. Thought the box pictured above was yours.

    Thanks anyway! 🙂

  9. Anyone have feedback for Filoutlet? I am switching from Pobox because the last 2 boxes i sent thru them have been extremely delayed. 18 days just sitting in their warehouse, not forwarding the box immediately to the province. Been using Pobox for years, and been satisfied. Pero not happy na ako sa mga delays.

  10. Thanks for this info. Just want to ask if your items arrived safely with little to no damage? I’m having second thoughts whether to use this or JAC. I’m really worried for the items that I will be shipping. Thanks po in advance.

    [Reply]

    Badet Reply:

No damage on my items shipped with Pobox, maybe because they’re mostly shoes and mountaineering gears. If your items are breakable, it is best to use JAC.

  11. Hi,

I am planning to buy cosmetics like l’oreal, revlon, mac, nars for my online store. kaso worried ko baka magkulang cya or may mawala.

so far ok naman pobox? anu mas suggest nyo po? johnny air or pobox? pobox kasi more promising kaso nttkot ako e. 🙂

    [Reply]

    Badet Reply:

Hi Joyce, both are safe and wala naman nawala sa mga orders ko.

JAC is faster since it’s air cargo, you’ll receive the items after a week agad. But it’s more expensive.

Pobox naman is by sea and takes about a month for the package to arrive. It’s cheaper.

  13. I had an items in pobox and I checked all my packages to be shipped, and as expected I got the green box worth $75 + $13 for the provincial charge I paid this through their BDO Peso Account, but I emailed them to confirm if they include my 5 vapes on my packages since I don’t see the packed date of that particular items ,and I was very disappointed on their answer (No, we did not include your 5 vapes because your box was already full) … WTF! The thing here is if that actually happened then they should emailed me for this situation so that I can decide if what items I’m going to remove, but they did not do that at all. Until now I’m still waiting for the tracking # as they said they will email me again for the tracking #.
