Experience Japan at Tokyo Bubble Tea

Have you noticed that Japan is one of the most visited places this year? I noticed it in my Facebook feed last March, most of my friends went to Japan for the sakura season. One friend even said that Japan is the new HK. Since not everyone can just go Japan, Tokyo Bubble Tea lets us experience a piece of Japan through their latest offerings, Sakura Bento Trays and Sakura JCC Milk Teas.

I was invited for a pseudo-hanami celebration at Tokyo Bubble Tea in Katipunan.

Hanami is a long-standing Japanese tradition of welcoming spring. Also known as the “cherry blossom festival,” this annual celebration is about appreciating the temporal beauty of nature. People gather under blooming cherry blossoms for food, drink, songs, companionship and the beauty of sakura (cherry blossoms).

Tokyo Bubble Tea is adorned with cherry blossoms and of course, showcasing the Sakura Bento Trays and Sakura JCC Milk Teas.

There are three bento trays to choose from. Delight in Sakura Soy Ginger Fish, Sakura Chicken Katsu, and Sakura Ebi Furai with Hamburg.

Each Sakura Bento Trays will satisfy your Japanese cravings because it has a bit of your fave Japanese food. There’s a bowl of miso soup, chahan, California maki, salad, and your main choice of meat (chicken, shrimp with hamburg, or fish).

Level up your hanami experience by pairing your meals with Sakura JCC Milk Teas: Sakura Royal Milk Tea, Sakura Strawberry Milk Tea, and Sakura Taro Milk Tea. What makes these milk teas special? It’s their signature JCC, which stands for Japanese Cheesecake Cream. It’s that creamy white topping, it’s rich making my drink not only refreshing but serves as my dessert as well.

I had the Sakura Strawberry Milk Tea as my drink, isn’t it sooo kawaii?

Let’s complete our Japanese dining experience with Honeybon’s Sakura Mango Roll. It’s a chiffon cake with a creamy mango center, and of course, it’s in an irresistible light pink color.

The whole cake is Php 550 while a slice is Php 120. Here’s a slice with the creamy mango center that tasted like ice cream.

It was such a fun afternoon with the bubblets and the rest of the bloggers. It’s my first time to see Tokyo Bubble Tea’s mascots: Sakura, Midori, and Ichiban.

Who is your favorite bubblet? I love Sakura that’s why I’m so happy to bring home a Sakura plush toy.
