Coffee has become a part of our lifestyle. Thanks to the emergence of call centers and other BPOs with 24/7 working hours, this I think created a new group of coffee drinkers/coffee addicts who needs a dose of espresso before their shift, or needs some place to unwind after a toxic day or night.
Honestly, when I think of coffee shops, that familiar green logo comes to mind. But did you know that before foreign coffee shops hit our shores, Bo’s Coffee already started its humble beginnings as it opened its first store in Ayala Center Cebu back in 1996.
I got acquainted with Bo’s Coffee when they still had a branch at the main building of SM North Edsa, they are situated at the garden area just before the entrance. Bought some coffee before going to work because they are already open just before the mall opens. A friend who is more adept with coffee is raving about their brewed coffee, she said that Bo’s Coffee trumps other imported coffee brands/shops.
One morning, I got to chat with other bloggers and Bo’s Coffee’s key people. We were served with their Amaretto Biscotti Froccino and Super Moist Chocolate Cake…
Amaretto Biscotti is Bo’s Coffee’s summer beverage. It’s blended coffee with biscotti and amaretto syrup topped with whipped cream, dark chocolate drizzle and crushed biscotti sprinkles. I like it because it’s not too sweet and has a nutty taste to it. The crunch from the biscotti adds an exciting treat.
From now on, if you’ll ask me where to find the BEST chocolate cake, I’ll point you to the nearest Bo’s Coffee branch. Trust me. The cake itself is full of chocolatey goodness even without the chocolate icing.
With the multitude of coffee shops, what makes Bo’s Coffee different? This I asked that morning…
Bo’s Coffee is known for “just-roasted freshness”—its beans, mostly from Cordillera and Bukidnon, are delivered to its stores soon after roasting so that you can enjoy the distinctively bold, roasted flavor of Bo’s.
As for their food line, they have their own commissary to ensure the quality and freshness of their cakes and pastries. They really have nice and delectable selection. Some branches serves all-day-breakfast too.
The next time you want a cup of coffee, try the Just Roasted goodness of a cup of Bo’s. This way, you are supporting a proudly Pinoy brand and you’re giving our local farmers more income. I hope Bo’s Coffee will soon double if not triple it’s branches here in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
Masarap talga sa Bo’s Coffee (sabi ng dad ko since lagi sya nagkakape dun w/ his political friends) but never pa ako nka try since bawal talga sakin ang coffee. 🙁
Their moist choca cake looks yummy! Ma try nga next time if ever mka punta ako ng SM dito sa place namin. 🙂

I am not a coffee lover but sometimes I like to drink some like coffee mix frappuccinio. SM North edsa is a nearby mall from our home and I already saw this branch.
