We spent the first week of our 2014 in Batanes, I wrote about our 7-day shebang here, Batanes trip 2014. Batanes is such a beauty in all its nooks and crannies that’s why each of them deserves a dedicated post. Let me start by showing you my favorite part of the trip, our overnight stay in Chavayan, a small charming village in Sabtang island where (most) stone houses are kept in their original state.

It’s hard not to spend a little too much at Christmas, and most people spend January dreading the arrival of their bank statement and eagerly anticipating payday. It’s the time of year that many decide to overhaul their finances, in order to avoid a similar situation the next year. I’ve been meaning to try Hokkaido Ramen Santouka when I first learned that they opened in Glorietta. But I was discouraged when I was told to prepare to line up when I go there. So I just waited for the hype to die down. Well, no more waiting for me because Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is now open at SM Mall of Asia.
Tomorrow is another year! Let’s leave 2013 and jumpstart 2014 with a more organized goals and positive aura. Clean slate, and it’s the perfect time to open up a new planner. Just before midnight, write down all your goals for 2014. It still feels great to jot down all our dreams, so that when you look back, you can pat your back for an accomplished year.
