It’s not a surprise that Sephora carries prestige and luxury brands too when it comes with skin care just like SK-II. SK-II is considered one of the best in anti-aging skin care and its most raved product is their SK-II Facial Treatment Essence or SK-II FTE. My friends are raving about this product and I almost bought this when I went to HK. But my friend talked me out of buying because when I run out of supply, where will I buy my stash?

The Facial Treatment Essence is described as SK-II’s “miracle water”. Contains 90% more Pitera, an ingredient that retains youthfulness in one’s skin. The essence balances the skin’s pH, sebum secretion, moisture and oxygen levels, so it is not too oily or dry. It also soothes and refreshes skin from sunburns.
I also got the Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser for Php 2,982 to complement the Essence Pitera Set.

SK-II Initial Review
I’ve been using the Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser, Facial Treatment Clear Lotion, and FTE for a week now. I didn’t use the mask yet so that I can see the effect of FTE alone.
I was warned that the FTE’s smell is a bit off but surprisingly, it doesn’t bother me at all. It has an almost non-existent smell. Or maybe I was used to more harsh smelling ones from other skin care products.
My night routine is cleanser, apply the clear lotion using a cotton pad, and then I put a few drops of FTE on my palm before applying on my face. This way, I won’t waste some precious FTE in the cotton.
Anyway, after a week of using the 3 religiously, I did not experience any breakouts or redness. The FTE is like water that’s absorbed by my skin in an instant. It’s non-sticky and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. I noticed that my face is less oily especially in the T-zone. My face feels softer and smoother in the morning, I’m tempted not to wash my face because I want to linger how fresh I look :p.
Some reviews claimed that their pores got smaller and they have brighter complexion. I have yet to see this so I ‘ll update you after I finished my set.
