When you’re in a tight budget and you’re searching for hotels in Makati, I bet you’ll have a hard time looking for one that will give you value for your money. Most hotels in Makati would set you back from Php 8,000+ a night if you really want a comfortable stay. The hotel’s location is one factor that can also add up to its rates.
I’ve discovered a budget hotel in Makati that has a perfect location for work and leisure, has large rooms, comfortable beds, and impeccable service similar to 5-star hotels.
Location
Jupiter Suites is located near the corner of Jupiter Street and Makati Avenue. There 2 streets are teeming with restaurants and bars, I wished I had stayed 2 nights to eat at the must-eat places in Makati. Century City Mall is nearby, it’s a long walk but possible, I can see the mall from our room in the hotel. Jeepneys that go to Glorietta and Greenbelt area pass by along Makati Avenue, while taxis are always available and the helpful staff will help you fetch for one.
Deluxe Queen Room
We were booked at their Deluxe Room, no. 407. The hallway needs to be updated, more lights I guess. My apprehension on how our Deluxe Room will look like disappeared when I saw our room. It’s huge! It’s very roomy at 36 sqm.
The rooms are well lit and the bed and the wall accent that acts as the head board has an updated modern look. I think they are slowly renovating and changing the furniture because of the mix of the old and new. Despite that, I’m impressed with the complete amenities provided such as LED TV with cable channels, safety deposit box, telephone, hair dryer, work desk, personal refrigerator, hot and cold shower, bath tub, and in-room Wi-Fi. The signal is weak in our room or maybe the whole of 4th floor but you can always go down at the lobby.
As I’ve said, some parts of the hotel needs a facelift but I’m satisfied with how Jupiter Suites stayed spic-and-span all these years.
After we settled our things, we walked to El Chupacabra for lunch. After that, Gwen and I went to BGC while Jeff went for a run. We just love Jupiter Suites’ central location. At night, we had dinner at Corner Tree Cafe along Jupiter Street, we also walked going there and saw plenty of dining choices, a Starbucks, karaoke bars, and convenience stores.
After having a restful sleep, we were ready to have breakfast which comes free with our room. I was greeted by a newspaper at my doorstep, I appreciated the fact that they left it there instead of knocking on our door to deliver this. I noticed the other newspapers left in the adjacent rooms too, so it’s an added service perfect for business travelers or for those who likes to read newspapers while having breakfast.
Their restaurant is located at the second floor.
For breakfast, each guest will be given a coupon with the available breakfast for the day.
Breakfast also comes with your choice of coffee, tea, juice or milk.
If you have kids with you and they don’t want anything on the menu, McDonald’s and Jollibee are nearby.
Rating
Overall, I’d give Jupiter Suites hotel a 4 out of 5. The friendliness of the staff and the welcoming atmosphere of the place is a perfect 5. It gives you value for money considering the room size and its amenities. But I think a little renovation and improvement on lighting will keep them in their game.
Jupiter Suites is recommended for everyone, either for business and leisure. I saw a group of girls who booked a room because they have an early job interview in Makati. I also suggested this hotel to a family friend who is applying for a visa and wants to be in Makati very early.
That looks like a nice place to stay. It has a cozy feel to it that I really like.

Nice hotel. What I don’t like about budget hotel is the cheap ambiance. This one doesn’t have that ambiance.
