Dessert Express by Miren: dessert haven online

Published by at 2:15 am under food, online shopping

As a Multiply seller, I have a variety of contacts, from buyer’s personal accounts to fellow Multiply sellers  that sells RTWs, beauty products, accessories and baked goodies. One of my contacts is Miren’s Dessert Express, a dessert haven for brownies, cupcakes and cookies. I was not too keen on ordering food online because I’m worried that the quality might be affected by the delivery time. But with all the raves I’m reading online brought me to the site’s order form and ordered 3 of Miren’s bestsellers: Gooey Revel Bars, Chocolate Cream Cheese Squares and Fudgy Meringue Cookies.

Fortunately, the desserts were delivered safe and sound, the boxes were in pristine condition and the goodies were all in good shape. It was our afternoon break when it was delivered in our office and I got hungry with the chocolate smell coming from the boxes. It’s from the Fudgy Meringue Cookies (Php 180), the moment I popped one on my mouth, I cannot stop eating. This is my favorite among the three because this gives my chocolate fix. As with Miren’s description, it stays true to its claim that it’s fudgy inside but light on the outside. The center part of the cookie is somewhat chewy too. I think I already consumed more than half of the box’s content upon reaching home. Yikes!

The Gooey Revel Bars (Php 350) is Jeff’s favorite. There’s a generous amount of chocolate fudge on top of the brownie base. This is one finger-licking goodness, no wonder it’s one of the best-sellers. The Chocolate Cream Cheese Squares (Php 350) didn’t excite my tastebuds though. I want the brownies to be sweeter, but the cream cheese topping is just right. Perhaps, this is one dessert with a more subtle sweetness, my mother who doesn’t like sweet foods liked this.

I love the fact that these desserts are always freshly baked and you’ll know that it does not skimp on ingredients. I will definitely order the Gooey Revel Bars and the Fudgy Meringue Cookies again.
