Tired but blessed

Saturday, November 14, 2009 1:36

In case you’re wondering, where the hell are the updates on this blog, well, there are a lot blog entries waiting to be written and photos lined up to be posted but due to some fortunate reasons, I really can’t find the time to update as much as I want to. Fortunate reasons because my previous employer from Odesk made contact with me for a new project and my online shop is kickin’ because it’s Christmas season and more and more shoppers are starting to fill up their Christmas loots and using their online coupons. I’m pretty swamped and tired, but I’m still grateful for all the blessings. Not having enough sleep, still go to work, shipping of online orders and doing an online job can get really chaotic…

Dong Bei Dumplings in Binondo

Sunday, November 8, 2009 1:29

I’ve been reading about Dong Bei dumplings from various bloggers since last year but every time we go to Binondo, we always ended up eating at President’s Tea House.  The reason is we can’t find Dong Bei’s location from our few attempts, good thing the foodie-in-me kept on insisting to search for one of Binondo’s best kept secrets.

Dong Bei is located at 642 Yuchengco St., from Binondo Church, walk down Ongpin St. and turn left at Yuchengco St. Dong Bei is next to a dress shop and it’s nearing the dead end of the street. Although the restaurant’s facade seems uninviting and unappetizing for a Chinese restaurant for that matter, based on the raves I read, it must be worth it.

28 and LX3

Monday, November 2, 2009 0:11

I turned 28 today, rocking 28 years and more to come! Every year, I’m more and more grateful of the blessings I received. I just let things happen according to God’s will, believe me, leaving all your worries behind about the future and let God’s guidance lead your life is the most effective way to have a stress-free and content life.

Enough of the drama, I just want to share Jeff’s gift for my birthday. He saved up for this ever since he knew that I really wanted to replace my old Canon digital camera, wrapped humbly in a newspaper…

Find the perfect credit card for you

Friday, October 30, 2009 0:39

For some, having a credit card is like a love-hate relationship. It’s a trial-and-error and continuous learning process to find what’s the best credit card that can satisfy your spending needs. Other people think of credit cards negatively and they shy away from the plastic card, but this isn’t always the case as long as you’re using it responsibly. I even wrote some tips on how to save money using credit cards by using all the perks, discounts and promos that come with the card. Always read the fine print when applying for a credit card, like interest rates, good customer service, annual fees, credit card limit, etc. Don’t be fooled by one time discount coupons, freebies, waived annual fees, etc. only to find out that you’ve chosen the wrong card for you. Don’t rush when taking decisions, take control of your finances, it’s your money after all.

In some instances that you made some wrong financial decisions and exorbitant spending, it may result to credit card debts. And in some cases, it really spells bad news, since interest rates would pile up month after month until you really can’t afford to pay your debt even for a longer time. But then, there’s a solution, you can make use of a credit card balance transfer wherein you get a new credit card with a lower interest rate and the new card will pay off the debt from your previous credit card. This should allow you to pay off your credit card debt on a much flexible term and for a reasonable amount.

And to help us to be financially savvy, we can all make use of CreditCardFinder.com especially if you’re in Australia to easily compare various credit cards.

Kim Bum and Maja Salvador’s RC Cola TV Commercial

Thursday, October 22, 2009 0:56

Thumbs up for the new RC Cola TV commercial featuring the Boys Over Flowers star Kim Bum and Maja Salvador. Kim Bum played the role of So Yi Jung in Boys Over Flowers while Maja Salvador is the current endorser of RC Cola. I love the dreamy feel of the commercial that reminds me of Koreanovelas that Filipinos are very fond of. The commercial premiered last Sunday but I wasn’t able to watch it, thanks to YouTube and the one who recorded and uploaded the video, SuperMika09 and Starmometer. Enjoy watching…

Shop and Share (ShopandShare.ph) is an auction site put up by celebrities Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, Kris Aquino and other ABS-CBN talents. Celebrities donate their personal items to be put up into auction, proceeds will then go to the Philippine National Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts. The site was brought about by the recent disasters that hit Philippines, typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) and typhoon Pepeng (Parma).

Multiply supports online sellers!

Sunday, October 18, 2009 18:24

It has been an issue since last year that Multiply deletes online shops since it’s a violation of their terms of service. Well, online sellers have a reason to rejoice because Multiply now supports online sellers. On your account info, you can now choose the account whether it’s personal or online shop so that you can properly identify your site. Below is Multiply’s official statement:

Until now, running a shop on Multiply has technically been a violation of our terms of service. As long as you didn’t spam anyone though, we simply looked the other way and let you go about your business. I know that this policy didn’t exactly give you all a lot of comfort, so I’m happy to announce that we’ve updated our terms of service to reflect the fact that running a shop on Multiply is now an officially endorsed activity.
