Touch a blogger: Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino!

The whole nation is once again united in prayers to support the former President Cory Aquino and her family. Cory Aquino has been admitted in the Makati Medical Center for over a month now. According to some press releases of the Aquino family, their mother is not in pain and comfortable. I just wish that God will give her strength to overcome the pain and suffering.

I am joining Barrio Siete’s campaign by posting a yellow ribbon on this blog as my way of support. Politics aside, Cory Aquino is a mother and if I were in the place of Kris Aquino or her siblings, I will be deeply crushed to see my mother undergoing this ordeal. With this, I’m also inviting other bloggers to join and Tie a Yellow Ribbon for Cory Aquino.

If you have a Twitter account, there’s a similar cause going on using Twibbon. By joining the “Yellow Ribbon for Pres. Cory“, your profile image will be overlaid with a yellow ribbon.

  3. Not being negative here but prayers won’t make her well… No matter how much healing masses will be held for her, it won’t work!

Kung gusto nilang gumaling si Mrs. Aquino, they should go to their rooms, turn down the lights, and pray silently…

Even you guys, na nagpopost ng yellow ribbons sa blogs nila, that won’t work… Say silent prayers for her… No offense to anyone but as the bible says, prayers made in public won’t be answered…

  4. @Kurog: Prayers can move mountains. Just ask and you shall receive. Miracles do happen. No comment on the politicians. As for the bloggers posting yellow ribbons, it’s a way to let other people do the same, include the former president in their prayers.

  5. The yellow ribbons are just reminders that someone needs our prayers. It may not actually heal her but at least lead her the way kung saan man siya mapunta. I am also against the politicians’ way of ‘using’ these healing masses pero instead of dwelling on it, magdadasal na lang ako.

I believe in prayers. I believe in the positive mind. It’s just a matter of belief, now if you don’t go and blog about it yourself.

  6. Hi, just wanted to remind another verse from the Bible in response to Kurog:

“Sapagkat kung saan nagkakatipon ang dalawa o tatlo sa aking pangalan, ay naroon ako sa gitna nila.” Mateo 18:20.

🙂 No matter how we pray, for as long as we are heartfully praying, God will answer our prayers.
