After the success of Run United 2, the third leg of the Runrio Trilogy is set on September 16, 2012. Run United 3 has always been anticipated because it offers what is dubbed as the “Afroman distance” or 32k category—not usually included in other run races. There are still the usual race categories: Ceelin 500m dash, 3k, 5k, 10k, and 21k.
Jeff and some of my officemates ran for Run United 2 2012 earlier, it’s also Father’s Day so it’s a different way to start the day, Jeff said it’s full of good vibes! It’s been a while since I joined a race, and I must agree to what Jeff said. I felt sluggish and almost dragging myself to get up from bed to be at SM Mall of Asia by 4:30 am (assembly time for 10k runners), and it’s raining so it’s very conducive to just sleep. We went to SM MOA anyway, and found plenty of runners doing their stretches already. Jeff and our friends headed to their starting line while I took photos of the event. And oh, I was there to be Jeff’s human baggage counter, hehe, I don’t mind.

Running is the cheapest and easiest sport, no need for expensive gym memberships or expensive sports equipments. All you need is a good pair of running shoes and you’re all set. I became active in running back in 2010, before I got pregnant. I’ll do my rounds at the UP Academic Oval after work for 2 to 3 times a week, it’s fun and I get to meet some celebrities too.
