Saint Anthony, Patron Saint of Lost Things

I’ve been searching for my new Vibram Five Fingers TrekSport in our house for days now but still nowhere to be found. It’s my gift for myself last Christmas and that’s the only purchase I made and then it’s lost, well I hope not. I’m really desperate to find it that’s why I even resorted to do my novena to St. Anthony de Padua, patron saint of lost things. Below is the nine-day prayer to St. Anthony:

St. Anthony, perfect imitator of Jesus, who received from God the special power of restoring lost things, grant that I may find [name the item] which has been lost. At least restore to me peace and tranquility of mind, the loss of which has afflicted me even more than my material loss. To this favor, I ask another of you: that I may always remain in possession of the true good that is God. Let me rather lose all things than lose God, my supreme good. Let me never suffer the loss of my greatest treasure, eternal life with God. Amen.

I hope I can find my new shoes… I’ve been forgetful these past few days, I wonder if taking some supplements such as l-dopa can help enhance my memory.
