Style and comfort with Caribbean Footwear

Flip flops are a must-have in everyone’s closet especially here in the Philippines. Gone are the days when flip flops were just worn at home because of it’s plain and simple designs. Now, it is part of a fashion statement, not only that, a lot of people wear them because of the comfort it offers no other footwear can.

Last April 3, 2013, Caribbean Footwear was introduced to us group of bloggers. This is the first time I heard of this brand but turns out they have been around since 1995. They are the former manufacture for big footwear companies but in 2010, they established the Caribbean brand. Their latest collection for summer is the Urban Safari Collection which features bold prints, vibrant colors, and chic neutrals.

Caribbean Footwear’s Urban Safari Collection

Irresistible designs, I tell you! When I was at the event, I can’t decide which ones are my favorites. I used to collect a Brazilian brand of flip flops but because it’s expensive, I have to buy one or two pairs and then wait for the next payday if I like the other designs. With Caribbean Footwear, it’s so affordable! Are you ready to hear the price? Price ranges from Php 180 to Php 299 only. There are so many designs to choose from so with its price point, you can buy 2 or more designs and styles that you like.

Carribean Footwear is a proudly Pinoy brand and has perfected the making of a footwear that is durable, comfortable, fashionable, and affordable. The strap is Caribbean’s own invention with the use of cutting-edge technology to make it durable and comfortable at the same time. It features a mid-foot curve to create proper foot formation and posture while walking and running. The best feature for me is their anti-slip technology, may it be marbled, tiled, cemented, wooden floors, etc. its sole is designed to protect your from slipping.

I got the Yellow Safari from their collection and this is my current companion wherever I go. Whether to the office, malls and grocery, I can’t wait to bring this in Pagudpud amd Vigan on the 20th.

Inspired by Caribbean Footwear’s fashionable designs, I created a lookbook using my favorite designs from the Urban Safari collection.

The Yellow Safari is my current fave. Moms like me who are on-the-go will be happy to slip on the comfortable Caribbean Footwear.

The orange and blue hues of this Caribbean flip flops is perfect for summer.

May it be aztec, boho chic, denim, printed or plain dresses, this gold/brown combo flip flops is a nice addition to your ensemble.

Which of the 3 lookbooks do you like? Did I make you curious about Caribbean Footwear? Then grab your pair now, they are available in department stores and supermarkets.

  4. Wow, flip flop is really in and one of the best selling (over priced) slippers. Gone are the days that flip flops are only up to the neighborhood use.Nowadays, you can go to the mall or any place wearing these beautifully designed and color slippers.

  7. Hmmm what would be the edge of Caribeean Footwear against Havaianas and the like? I don’t see the point of buying more expensive tsinelas as they are not presentable as real sandals or slip-ons sans the heels.

If you read my post, Caribbean Footwear is very affordable, not over Php 300, with good quality and same aesthetic appeal than expensive Brazilian brands. And it’s made in the Philippines so we should support our own. 🙂

  8. Wow! I’ve always preferred flip flops because I’ve never been fashionista – but looks like plenty of fashionistas dig into flip flops 😉 Nice to know that the brand is making a name of itself and offers nice prints at affordable prices 🙂

  11. Another local product to be proud of! Their designs are pretty neat! We are a tropical country and it really is about time we came up with a beach footwear worthy to covet.

Congratulations to carribean – although I wonder why they name it like that – maybe they are gearign for global recognition – but something tropical or pacific will give more originality.

I love the aztec designs and do they have white soles? i am a sucker for anything white particularly on summer

  14. i liked the “colors of summer look”— so tired of browns and blues and blacks last autumn and winter so it’s so refreshing to see the bright hues.. which reminds me that i still don’t have clothes for spring and summer^^

the designs are very lovely, badet.. will definitely check them out when we go home..

    thanks for sharing^^

  19. Although I own more than 5 pairs of slippers, I’m not really a big fan. I usually wear slippers at home and seldom wear one when going out. I prefer shoes because my doctor recommended to me that I should wear footwear with arch support. When I read about Caribbean’s midfoot curve, it really got me curious. I’ll see if the brand is already available here in the south.

  23. Those flip flops are perfect for summer! They’re fashionable and the price won’t hurt our pockets! I used to love flip flops; but, the sun is too strong these days and makes the skin of my feet dark so I wear shoes instead. :p

  28. Good to know that there’s now a more affordable option for flip flop lovers, and a local brand too. The designs are too loud for my taste, but maybe in the future, they will release more conservative designs.

  30. I bought my first caribbean slippers way back in 2012 from this known mall in antipolo, then brought it to Singapore where I worked there for 2 years. I used it as pambahay, pamalengke and for some quick lakwatsa na din. When I got back here in Ph, I was surprised that this brand of slipper is still in good condition. I used it in Manila as siyempre, pambahay, pang beach, pamalengke and some laktwatsa. Yes, pang laktwatsa because it suit some of my outfits because I bought a plain golden brown slipper. Then when I got back to my hometown, which is La Union siyempre there are a lot of beaches here, so I always use it. What surprised me the most is that, it took 5years bago siya nasira. No, I’m not being OA here because the slipper is really durable. Di siya napudpod, papigtas lang siya and that’s why if you will compare it to this brazilian brand, super layo ng price pero sure akong mas matibay to.
