LSM Square Boracay review

On our Boracay trip this November, we stayed at LSM Square. It’s not exactly a beachfront accommodation but it’s located in Station 1. It’s along the road, in front of Crown Regency Prince. I still like it nonetheless because the walk going to the white beach through the alley is just a mere 5 minutes. The walk to the alley will take you beside Nandana Boracay.

It’s very affordable considering the hotel-like interior of the rooms. Take a look at the family room I booked for just Php 2000 per night, it has 2 double beds and 1 single bed. This is Room No. 9 located at the second floor.

This room for only Php 2000 per night!

In and Around Camiguin: Foodgasm in Camiguin

A vacation to a different place is never complete without food. One friend noticed while looking at our Camiguin photos that most of our photos were taken inside a restaurant and we’re eating. But of course! Camiguin has some good restaurants, some are owned by foreigners hence the Western menu.

Let the foodgasm begin:

In and Around Camiguin: Pabua’s Cottages

Last month, we extended our summer vacation and went to Camiguin! We bought the tickets to Cagayan de Oro from the Cebu Pacific sale last March, it’s around Php 1,100 RT per pax, MLA-CDO.

I was in charge for our accommodation. Always on the practical side, I looked for accommodations in Camiguin and found Pabua’s Cottages rates the most reasonable, and also has positive reviews in the net.

Tips on how to pack smart and light with your toiletries

I’m a terrible backpacker, even after years of going on trips, I still don’t know how to pack my things. I always end up bringing my house, haha. I overpack, which is safer than to miss something important. But on this day of limited baggage allowances on airplanes, I really need to practice packing light. Now that I’m traveling with my toddler, her things are more important like baby bottles, milk, diapers, change clothes, medicines, etc. I can forget one or two of my things but not Gwen’s things.

Honestly, my husband, Jeff, is the expert on these things. He can neatly pack his things on a stuff sack and fit it in his small backpack. Albeit small, it has all the necessary things needed, from clothes, toiletries to gadgets.

Let me share to you some tips on how to pack smart and light for your trip:

Back from Malaysia holiday

Hi everyone! Some of you may know that my mommy blog, The Misis Chronicles, is one of the finalists in the Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards held at the Marriott Hotel Putrajaya in Malaysia. It was an honor to witness and mingle with other rockstar bloggers around the Asia Pacific. And yes, I’m too stoked that being a finalist entitles me to a free trip and a hotel stay at where else, Marriot hotel. The trip to Malaysia is only for the finalist though, so it means only a single holiday for me, and I have to cut my trip short because it’s Gwen’s first birthday.
