Discover Cavite’s Cuisine at Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park

If one would ask me what food the province of Cavite is known for, I’d probably answer Tahong Chips. That’s the safest answer I know since Cavite is known for its abundance of seafood. But thanks to the invitation of Island Cove Hotel & Leisure Park, I got to discover the rich Cavite cuisine and realized that the province is indeed another foodie destination. Fortunately, Chef Vill Purificacion put up a “Taste Cavite” menu which showcases the finest fare from the various towns. It will be a one-stop Cavite food tour because Managing Director Gilbert Remulla believes that Island Cove should be the gateway of all things Cavite.

Hola amigo, Gringo!

We have a strong liking to Mexican food, and fortunately, we now have a lot of dining options whenever we crave for one. One of our favorites…our new amigo, is Gringo. Ever since they opened in SM North Edsa, The Block, it’s always been a Gringo chicken lunch or dinner for us. Their flavorful and juicy chicken is unforgettable, you’ll want to come back for more.

Third Wave Coffee at The Coffee Empire

It was raining hard due to monsoon rain but that didn’t stop us from braving the rain and trying out The Coffee Empire. Jeff was keen on trying out this nice coffee place when he passed by it during his evening runs. Ang totoo, he was looking for restaurants in QC that serves craft beer, and The Coffee Empire is one of them. But keri lang because I love coffee anyway, and it will be my first time to try third-wave coffee.

A sweet summer at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf

It’s gonna be a sweet summer starting April 4, 2016 as Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf launches their Iced Sweet Teas and Sweet Tea Ice Blended drinks. I’m really excited about this because I’m on a no-soda phase since February 6 (yay!). I’m doing fine but there are days that I want to grab something ice cold. I don’t like most bottled fruit juices because they are loaded with sugar and they are too sweet for my liking.

Whenever I crave for some tasteful drinks, I always head to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf because of their freshly brewed teas. With their latest Iced Sweet Teas and Sweet Tea Ice Blended beverages, you’ll be drinking sunshine in a glass.
