16th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, 2011 Fiesta Schedule

The 16th Philippine International Balloon Fiesta will begin on February 10 to February 13, 2011 at the Clark Special Economic Zone, Angeles City, Pampanga. It has been a tourist attraction every year for people to witness an extravaganza of colors from hot air balloons. Aside from hot air balloons, there are other attractions such as aircraft formation flying, RC airplane flying, paragliding, kite flying, skydiving and aeromodelling. I wonder if they also have ATV Wheels in the field.

For those interested to witness the 2011 Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, below is the event schedule:

Merrell Adventure Run on Saturday

Jeff and I registered for the Merrell Adventure Run on Saturday, April 17, 2010. It will be held at Wawa Dam, Montalban. My first time to join an adventure run, so I’m a bit scared if I’ll be able to finish the race. Before, it was always paved and flat roads but now, I will be running on hilly terrains. Merrell Adventure Run’s multiply site posted the route map for 5 km.

Swimming lessons around Metro Manila

School’s out and if you’re kids got nothing to do, have them take swimming lessons. You know how kids enjoy swimming and playing with water, besides it’s the perfect way to beat the summer heat. Start them young because learning to swim is very very important. Too bad I just realized this at an older age. Yep, I don’t know how to swim and my first swimming lesson was 5 years ago (*blush*). And like the saying goes, you can teach an old dog new tricks, it’s quite difficult for me to learn to swim. Yikes, so make sure teach your kids at an early stage.

summer time is swim time!

DZMM Takbo Para sa Kalikasan Year 11

I joined the DZMM Takbo Para sa Kalikasan Year 11 last Sunday, my third time for this yearly running event. Sponsored by DZMM, the running event is for the benefit of the rehabilitation of the Pasig River. Takbo Para sa Kalikasan is one running event I can see myself joining every year because registration fee is affordable (Php 200 this year) and its accessible location (The Fort is too far where most running events are held).
