Angelina Jolie on the top spot of Forbes’ Celebrity 100

Last year, it was Oprah Winfrey sitting on the throne as the world’s most powerful celebrity. But this time, it’s Angelina Jolie. This lady definitely has everything, a successful career, a lovely family, a gorgeous husband, a multi-billion asset and most of all, a beautiful woman inside and out. If there will be a Best of the Best Awards, Angelina Jolie will surely bag it all.

The BB Cream craze

I finally joined the BB cream bandwagon. BB cream or Blemish Balm cream is the hottest beauty product craze in Asia and is slowly conquering other parts of America and Europe. It came from Germany, originally intended as after-treatment cream after laser surgeries. But the amazing results it gives caused others to use it in their beauty regimen. Soon enough, Korean actresses and actors use this too making it popular not only in Korea but in Asia as well.

Recommended Restaurant City layouts

Facebook has gained its cult following just like other social networking sites. But what makes it a notch higher is with the inclusion of games courtesy of Playfish.com. One addictive game is Restaurant City, a simulation game wherein you build your own restaurant, cook and maintain your restaurant. Think of Diner Dash meets The Sims. I know I’m quite a late-bloomer in joining the RC-bandwagon but I’m definitely catching up. Let me show you my Restaurant City layout of my Deliciosa restaurant below, there’s still nothing much on it since I don’t have enough Restaurant City coins to buy fancy decorations, tables and chairs.

A day tour in Macau

On our first visit to Hong Kong, we went to Shenzhen, China for a day tour. This time, it will be Macau, China. Macau is an hour away from Hong Kong and can be reached by ferry or “catamarans”. From HK Taisan Guesthouse, we walked along Haiphong Road to get to the China Ferry Terminal in TST where the First Ferry is located. The First Ferry runs from 7 am until midnight and ticket prices range from HKD 150-180 depending on the days (weekdays and holiday prices vary) and time. If you’re coming from Hong Kong island, you can ride the Turbojet from the Shun Tak in Sheung Wan. No visa is required when travelling to Macau. Hong Kong dollars are widely accepted in Macau, in fact, it has an almost 1:1 ratio. Macau casinos only accept Hong Kong dollars while shops and transportation systems like buses and taxis accept Pataca or Hong Kong dollars.

Hiking the Lantau Peak and the Wisdom Path

*continuation of our Hong Kong vacation…

Hiking is one of the highlights of our trip, it was an unorthodox way of experiencing Hong Kong… far from the busy streets of shopping areas of Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui, from the fun-filled Disneyland and from the picturesque usual tourist attractions.

Original plan was to scale two mountains, Lantau Peak and Dragon’s Back, but due to lack of time and exhaustion, Dragon’s Back has to take a backseat.
