Visita Iglesia online
The Catholic church is keeping up with technology nowadays, they launched Visita Iglesia online. Visita Iglesia online can be accessed through CBCP’s website, http://cbcponline.net/visitaiglesia/, it features seven churches that one can visit with audio recordings of prayers and the stations of the cross. This is very helpful especially for OFWs who want to continue the Visita Iglesia tradition even if they are abroad.

CBCP still encourages everyone especially those who reside in the Philippines to have the Visita Iglesia the old-fashioned way. I prefer that too instead of online Visita Iglesia. It’s my own little sacrifice and there’s a more rewarding feeling to be with God and reconnect with Him inside the church.
Visita Iglesia or “church visit” is practiced during Maundy Thursday to commemorate Christ’s sufferings. Last year, my mother and I were able to visit 14 churches with our own Visita Iglesia. Some people visit 7 seven churches just like in the online Visita Iglesia website.

I prefer the old school too! It is a more intimate conversation with the Lord, I believe.
