Let’s see if Vice Cosmetics lipsticks are worth the hype

Local celebrities followed suit with Hollywood celebs releasing their own make-up line. First is Anne Curtis with BLK which I’ve yet to try, and then Vice Ganda with Vice Cosmetics. Honestly, I’m not really excited to have those, I was skeptical if they can really rival the more established foreign make-up brands (sorry na…)

Anyway, last Christmas when my Nanay was here, I borrowed her lipstick which is Vice Cosmetics in Tarush. I immediately fell in love with its packaging, and when I used it, it was love at first swipe. The minute I got the chance to go to Trinoma and visit the Vice Cosmetics booth, I immediately bought 2 Good Vibes Matte Lipsticks and 1 Phenomenal Liquid Lipstick. It’s so affordable at Php 195 each, you can really afford to buy 2 or more!

Vice Cosmetics released Phenomenal Lip Kits which come with liquid lipstick and lip pencil, Good Vibes Matte Lipsticks, and Phenomenal Liquid Lipsticks. For the matte lipsticks, I got the Good Vibes and Tarush because my Nanay is such an influencer :p.

The Good Vibes Matte Lipsticks remind me of Maybelline Creamy Matte lipsticks. Creamy yet goes on matte on the lips. Let’s see Tarush and Good Vibes shade on me.

The color payoff is good, especially with Tarush, I only need 1 swipe. With Good Vibes, I need two passes for complete coverage.

Overall, the Matte Lipsticks get two-thumbs up from me! I love the fuchsia pink packaging, selection of wearable shades, matte yet non-drying formula, and of course, the really affordable price of 195 pesos!

I got curious with the Phenomenal Liquid Lipsticks so I bought Ravaan. It’s a warm brown berry shade. I liked what one of the staff was wearing so I asked what shade and she said Ravaan.

I only used Sleek liquid lipsticks for comparison, I find Sleek’s formula a bit thick. The Phenomenal Liquid Lipsticks are lightweight, it’s like I’m not wearing one on my lips. My lips are dry to start with but using this, it’s tolerable. After eating and drinking, the lipstick is still there and only needs retouch on some parts.

If I have to choose between the bullet and liquid lipsticks, I’d prefer the Good Vibes Matte Lipsticks because it doesn’t dry out my lips too much.
