Gyu Gohan Japanese Sizzling Beef in 168 Mall

It’s our Divisoria day earlier! Jeff tagged along because he needed to check out fabric stores in Juan Luna and Ilaya for his DIY project. After his errand, we decided to roam inside 168 Mall, I bought a few accessories while Jeff just checked out some cool China-made house gadgets like alarm systems, flashlights, speaker stands, and cooking utensils.

It’s about lunch time so we headed to the new wing’s food court which is located at the 5th Level. You know how I dislike dining in food courts, so whenever I’m in 168, I always eat at McDonald’s, Jollibee, Chowking or Pizza Hut. But when I saw this new Japanese stall, Gyu Gohan, I decided to be more adventurous and try it with not so much expectations on the food.

Oh Teriyaki Boy

We’re fans of Sizzling Pepper Steak but sometimes, we get tired of their sizzling menu so we gave it’s sister restaurant a try, Teriyaki Boy. I salute their management in dividing the area of the restaurants into two places with distinctive style. In the North Edsa branch, I love the circular sofas inside Teriyaki Boy, perfect for group dining. The air conditioners are also not affected by the smoke that comes from the food at Sizzling Pepper Steak.

I had rice toppings while Jeff got their ramen.

Sizzling Pepper Steak

We’re regular diners of Sizzling Pepper Steak but ironically, I seem to forget to blog about it. You see, I’m not a fan of sizzling plates, not until Pepper Lunch arrived, and Sizzling Pepper Steak.

One thing I like about Sizzling Pepper Steak is their modern asian interiors, unlike PL’s fastfood ambiance. Some SPS branches in malls already have comfort rooms so you don’t have to walk around the mall and then go back to eat.
