Online tutoring is one of the popular sidelines and even full-time jobs in the Philippines today. Aside from it’s fun, it has a decent pay and you get to work only for a few hours. My sister-in-law worked as an online tutor for Koreans before she worked in a call center. She taught English subjects only but sometimes her students asked her for math help. She ended up giving free math help to her students albeit her dislike in math. She became close to her students, they even extend their tutoring session just to tell stories about their lives, crushes, problems, etc. She must have impressed her student’s parents because they offered my SIL to be an online math tutor as well. She declined the offer because she pursued other job.
