Baskin-Robbins, the world’s most beloved ice cream brand, spreads more happiness as it opens its 14th branch at B8, Bonifacio High Street, Taguig, delighting ice cream lovers around the metro. The newest branch of the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops features premium hard scoop ice cream, customized ice cream cakes and a full range of frozen beverages which will now be easily accessible to shoppers and residents within Bonifacio High Street and nearby areas in BGC.
There’s Mercato Centrale in BGC, Banchetto in Ortigas, Soderno in Molito, Alabang, and Legazpi and Salcedo weekend markets in Makati, all of these are tempting the foodie in me to visit at least one of them but they are too far. Alas, they finally realized that there are also foodies residing here in the North so Mezza Norte is born.
Mezza Norte is located at UP-AyalaLand TechnoHub and is open from Thursdays to Sundays, 6 pm to 3 am. We got there around 7 pm on a Thursday night and the place is already packed. Mezza Norte is a foodie’s paradise. Lots of desserts, street food (isaw!, barbecue, quail eggs), burgers, sausages, etc.

After tasting White Hat, Red Mango and Yoh-gurt Froz, I thought I tasted all varieties of what frozen yogurts can taste, tart, sweet, creamy, sour, tangy, etc… No matter what the taste is, I can easily tell even on closed eyes that I’m eating frozen yogurt, it’s just different from ice cream.
And then comes Golden Spoon, I just got curious about it because I saw that they have peanut butter flavored yogurt, and this peanut butter lover couldn’t resist…
I need to have a double take because something this good can’t be frozen yogurt, it tasted like real ice cream! But yeah, it says frozen yogurt, and it’s too good to be true. It may not come cheap for Php 155 a cup but you get what you pay for, frozen yogurt from heaven. This paragraph is so full of superlatives, just grab yourselves a cup okay?
