Swimming lessons around Metro Manila

School’s out and if you’re kids got nothing to do, have them take swimming lessons. You know how kids enjoy swimming and playing with water, besides it’s the perfect way to beat the summer heat. Start them young because learning to swim is very very important. Too bad I just realized this at an older age. Yep, I don’t know how to swim and my first swimming lesson was 5 years ago (*blush*). And like the saying goes, you can teach an old dog new tricks, it’s quite difficult for me to learn to swim. Yikes, so make sure teach your kids at an early stage.

summer time is swim time!

I took my swimming lessons at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Vito Cruz, Manila. During summer, instructors offers swimming lessons too for a minimal fee per session, can’t remember. But I have to warn you though, facilities are not good, no lockers, dirty shower areas and comfort rooms. The swimming pool especially the kiddie pool is kinda unclean especially during weekends. Try not to drink water from the pool.

Check if your village clubhouse offers swimming lessons, if not, Bert Lozada Swim School offers swimming lessons at various locations. Check their website for rates and locations here.

  1. My mom learned how to swim around the same time I did, so it’s never too late to learn! A friend of mine took swimming lessons when she was 23.
