First ever Frabelle Foodie Chef Finals

Last January 9, 2013, the 1st Frabelle Foodie Chef was named after Frabelle Foods launched the competition on their Facebook page. Food lovers, enthusiasts and consumers have to come up with their own recipes using any Frabelle Foods products like Yummy! Hotdogs and Cheesedogs, Pork Ham Tocino, Longganiza Hamonado, Hickory Smoked Bacon, and Honey Ham. With all the numerous entries, the finalists were narrowed down to five.

The five finalists with their recipes are:

1. Stuffed Chicken – Neneth Tiongkiao Medrona
2. Hickory Smoked Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Chicken – Romeo Julian Garcia
3. Frabelle Trimeat Breakfast – Nathan Dapon
4. Frabelle Delish Muffin – Maricel Pacleb
5. Frabelle Meatlover’s Dream – Marlon Cruz

At the event, we were lucky to have a taste of these 5 unique dishes. We also got the chance to vote for our fave recipe, the one with the most votes will win the Blogger’s Choice award. I voted for Stuffed Chicken by Ms. Neneth Medrona, I love the richness and creaminess of the dish. The mix of different Frabelle products like ham, hotdog, etc. goes well together with the chicken and its creamy sauce. And would you believe that this dish is budget-friendly too?

Ms. Neneth Medrano’s winning Stuffed Chicken Recipe

The Stuffed Chicken recipe became the bloggers’ and media’s choice that afternoon. Judges from the competition also agreed with the blogger’s choice because they hailed Ms. Neneth Medrano as the First Frabelle Foodie Chef Grand winner! She received Php 20,000 and a one-day culinary class at the Center for Culinary Arts in Manila.
