Etude House haul

Etude House opened its first branch in the Philippines at SM Megamall Bldg. A. Korean beauty product fanatics trooped to Megamall since its first opening day. Megamall is too far from my place that’s why I only get to visit the store last Saturday. Finding the store is easy, it’s located at the ground floor near Toy Kingdom. The moment I entered the store, I was awed, it’s like entering a princess’ bedroom, with insanely pink and blue interiors and girly ornaments and decorations. A princess indeed, upon entering the store, I was greeted by sales assistants clad in their pink/white uniforms with “Hello princess!”.

I think it took me almost an hour inside the store because I was enjoying trying out the testers from nail polishes, lipsticks, lotions, foundations, etc… Etude House has a lot of lipsticks, lip glosses and lip tints, they have more collection of products for lippies than eyeshadows and foundations. The lipsticks come in mostly pink shades though, only a few of them have reddish shades.

I think I’m gonna be addicted to this store, I hope their SM North Edsa branch will open soon. Prices are very reasonable, way cheaper than Skin Food and The Face Shop. The packaging are really nice too! Reminds me of Anna Sui….

My only peeve is that I hope that their SAs will be trained and will be knowledgeable about their products. I’m asking about the difference of the lipsticks since they have lots and the SA said they’re all the same. Maybe they can also put English descriptions beside the testers so that customers won’t have to ask their SAs. Oh, and I do hope they will smile or just put a blank face instead of frowning the whole time, just like the cashier did. And no she’s not frowning because I’m taking photos, she’s like that the whole time.

Smile, princess =)

  4. Ooh I want the dear darling tint and lip plumper! Can’t wait for your review. πŸ˜€

  5. my gosh! why did they give you 2 lash curlers for freebies? haha… with that kind of haul here your bag would have been so heavy with skin care product samples already (nang-inggit ang loka)… even a mere visit to their store here entitles a potential customer to a small sachet of a skin care or bb cream sample…

i was also in one of their stores here yesterday and was thinking of buying one dear darling tint…

    i highly recommend their duo-fiber brush…

  6. I agree on the SAs..I experienced the same thing when I went there..They don’t know a thing..the only answer they will give you if you ask them, “what’s the difference of this to this?” is “Pareho lang po yan.” Ngek!

I think it’s better to search online for reviews and info than to go there clueless about the products..

really?! they’ll be opening a store at Sm north? I can’t wait for that! I live so near Sm north haha ^_^

  9. omg! sm north? when?? cant wait!!:) totally agree w/ the SAs, they’re a little nice but it seems like that they dont know a thing about their prods.. all they can say is “pareho lang” lol.. just like to share, matipid nga cla sa freebies:( i was requesting if i can get the “cat” freebie, my purchases went up to 2k+, the thing is i have 2 receipts kaya ayaw tanggapin pero 4days interval lang ung receipts ko.. cant have a massive haul sa kanila pano their SAs, walang ma-recommend.. lol.. i’m an avid buyer but a simple request sa “freebie” ndi man lng napagbigyan.. so sad.. pro baka its their rule talaga.. haaayy…

    **i have the ff…

    fresh cherry tint
-its the best lip tint i’ve tried so far, it did not make my lippies look dry & flaky like some tints would do.. just moist & luscious
    precious mineral bb cream
-doesnt really coverUp blemishes but it makes my skin glow..^^
    dear darling firming lips pk002
-great color, and again it doesnt dried up my lips, so its a love love for me
    peach water gloss (watermelon water)
    – it didnt gave me enough color but i like this gloss coz it gave my lips a nice “sheen” making it looked healthy..^^
    peach skin pact
-this powder doesnt really suits me.. it flakes on my nose.. ugghh.. maybe bcoz i have combo skin?? hmmm.. but i love the scent:)
    pore diet essence
-i have been using it for like a week now, still havent seen changes on my pores, but it didnt gave me breakouts or any bumps.. i tried it as a base to my bb cream, not a good idea.. it dried up my face & showed some “peeling”.. so i’ll be using it at night only.
    nail polish (pk010)
-its too liquidy, like i need to coat 4-5x to make the color pantay.. but its a really nice pink:)

***still have lots to buy.. i love etude house.. sana din etude house(the people behind it) loves their “buyers”, sana they make alaga to their customers..^^

  10. Hi Karr, wow that’s a lot! True-blue Etude House lover =) Yeah you’re right, I wish they have more freebies just like the beauty shops in Korea.

Thanks for the feedback about the products you bought. I’m sure a lot of girls will find this useful. I want that Fresh Cherry Tint, argh, maybe I’ll buy that when the SM North branch opens. I didn’t buy any of their foundation/powder because it’s too white for me.

Hi Ice, yes they do have lotions and toners. I’m not sure if they have whitening kinds but they have some for acne-prone skin too.
