Cockles!

On our first night in Singapore, we immediately had a semi-reunion with college friends at East Coast Park food village, a hawker place. It’s Friday night and there are a lot of diners in this open area hawker place. Our friends ordered food, chili crabs, satay, stingray and cockles!

Cute name huh? But locally, it’s called “batotoy”. I don’t know how it’s cooked but it’s served with a chili dipping sauce. Our friend ordered this once again at Rasapura Masters in Marina Bay Sands. Scooping out the meat out of the shell can get pretty addicting.
