City Center Hotel in Baguio

City Center Hotel is a new and modern hotel in Baguio City that is centrally located in Session Road. When I was looking for our hotel to stay in last Holy Week, I carefully searched for photos of hotels and their locations. Other Baguio hotels we stayed from previous visits are really old and rundown like the Harrison Inn (location is good too but very old). I was skeptical at first if City Center Hotel is really new because it’s in Session Road and that area is filled with old buildings. But I asked my friend who is based in Baguio and she confirmed that it’s indeed new. I booked via their website, they reply fast. You have to pay the room reservations in full though via bank deposit if you’re going to book in advance. After you wired the payment, send them an email with your deposit slip attached and they will send you a confirmation at once. Email correspondence is really fast and reliable.

City Center Hotel is a 6-storey building in the corner of Mabini St. and Session Road

If City Center Hotel is fully booked, check out my review on Dely’s Inn.

City Center Hotel Deluxe Room

Deluxe Room has 1 double bed and 1 single bed

I booked a deluxe room (Php 2,700 Peak Season Rate, Regular Rate is Php 2,400 per night), access to the rooms is via a key card. Room 509 has a view of Session Road and Burnham Park. It’s prefect for people watching if you have nothing to do. The room and bathroom is very clean, and you can ask the housekeeping to clean the room and ask for fresh new towels everyday. I love the rainshower, and it’s also spacious considering the small rooms compared to other hotels. The only downside of the rooms is that ther are no cabinets to put your things, and no hangers too, just hooks for your pants and small belongings. There’s a safety deposit box for your money and important documents.

Love the location!

The lack of cabinets does not stop me from loving this hotel. The very convenient location definitely won me over. Just across the street is the jeepney terminal going to Mines View Park, Wright Park and The Mansion (check out the photo below). You don’t need to ride a cab going there so it saves you money. But if you insist in riding a cab, there are lots of them just right outside the hotel, the guard can also hire one for you.

The room accommodation comes with free breakfast at Beans Talk, a coffee shop in the second floor.

You have choices of corned beef, longganisa, daing na bangus, and continental for breakfast.

We spent our mornings and evenings here at Beans Talk. They have cakes and cupcakes plus coffee to end our evenings. Prices are affordable too, Gwen went crazy with the cakepops, it’s just Php 15! More about Beans Talk on my next posts.

If you need to replenish supplies/grocery, there’s a Victoria Supermarket at the hotel’s basement and a 24-hour 7-Eleven nearby. Popular restaurants in Baguio are just walking distance from City Center Hotel too, Solibao, Pizza Volante, and Oh My Gulay. Want to go to the market for cheap pasalubong and strawberries, just walk down Session Road and cross the footbridge and you’re already in the market.

City Center Hotel’s Reception, Lobby and WiFi

City Center Hotel’s reception is at the second floor. Hotel’s entrance is the side of Mabini Street.

You can refill your water bottle at the lounge area. The sofa can get pretty crowded especially at night because wifi signal is strong here. We got a poor wifi signal in our room so I have to go down in case I want to go online.
