Let’s see, this box contained 1 North Face tent, several bike accessories and gears which are heavy and memory cards. The only negative point I can say on Pobox.ph is that they don’t respond to queries/emails quickly. They also don’t update regularly and accurately the shipping form they have on the website to know which items have already arrived at their warehouse. But a constant follow-up thru emails and texts will get you a reply eventually.

I’ll use their service once again when I shop for baby items and aircast walking boots that my friend needs.

I still have plenty of new uploads for December so watch out for it. I’m thinking of having a Cyber Monday sale just like in the US to give way for more new fab accessories. Please stay tuned for updates.

I already have an existing web hosting for my blogs but I’m afraid that the space/bandwidth won’t be enough to accommodate the existing traffic my Multiply store has. One suggestion is for me to have my own server, but I’m too novice for those technical stuff. Having my own dedicated server might be an advantage for me in the future should I acquire more blogs and online shops but I’m lost with all technical jargons. But I found a great deal in Superb.net with their managed hosting, aside from their managed dedicated servers that I can acquire, it also comes with a 5-in-1 deal which includes managed backup, managed firewalls, OS hardening, patches and updates and proactive monitoring. Looks like a promising plan, right? And if all things became successful, I can even avail of their colocation plans to take care of my server.

One way to promote my online shop, Pink Fortune, is through classifieds. Just like including our blogs in link directories, listing our online shops in different classifieds and directories will make it more visible to prospective customers and buyers. It’s also free so there’s nothing to lose, just hardwork and patience because creating and posting classifieds can be quite tedious especially when manually entering the details. But I promise, you’ll gain a sale/s from these listings. I once read that in sales, one must not stop marketing his/her products.

Aside from promotion, being ahead and up to date of the latest trends in fashion especially accessories is a must. I learned that being the first to offer new items gives me an edge to other competitors. So I try my best to make my merchandise fresh weekly. Of course, prices should always be affordable and reasonable, times are hard and sellers also need to reach out for their buyers by making prices low. One last thing, word-of-mouth is still a good way of promotion so being friendly and accomodating through texts, emails and site inquiries is a must.

I may not be a pro but these simple suggestions will surely give a sale. I hope sales will soar up to us sellers, and while I’m at it, I shall look for affordable vacation rentals too in case I reach my target. And maybe some land for sale as an additional investment.

I know that this policy didn’t exactly give you all a lot of comfort, so I’m happy to announce that we’ve updated our terms of service to reflect the fact that running a shop on Multiply is now an officially endorsed activity.

If you would like to run a shop on Multiply, all you have to do is identify yourself as an online seller. To do this, click on “my account” at the top of any page and then on “My Account Info”. In the Account Type field just check the box to indicate that your account is an online shop. That’s it! Once you make this change, you’ll see “Online Seller” appear below your headshot on your site (or “Premium Seller” if you have a Premium account).

Please help us spread the word on this. You will need to check this box in order to continue to run your shop on Multiply, but we understand that it will take time for everyone to get the message.

Also, please continue to be mindful of our spam policy. Sending unsolicited personal messages, or posting to groups, for the purpose of promoting your shop is considered spam and could result in the cancellation of your account.

So how can the buyers inform me with their orders? Well, it’s with the use of Online Order Forms that makes things easier. There are free HTML generators out there such as Wufoo.com or Freedback.com which I currently use that automatically sends an order form to my email address whenever a buyer submits one. The Order Forms I receive looks like the photo below:

Sometimes, a buyer won’t push through with his/her order just because I didn’t reply to her email promptly. There are instances that I can’t be online to check emails for orders because I’m out of town or I’m doing personal errands that I can’t find the time to face the computer. I find that the best solution for me is to have an Ovi Mail by Nokia so that I can check my emails anytime, everywhere through the use of my mobile phone. I can answer to client’s orders promptly and send invoices right away. Hmmm, this also means more sales opportunity for me and I will never miss a sale again!

Oh and it seems that I can also use Ovi Mail for updating you with my food trips! I love eating and trying something new when it comes to food, which explains a number of food-related posts here in my blog. Ovi Mail will be a great use when I’m travelling because I can share my food and travel discoveries and do business matters as well.
