Zumba at JNA Dance and Fitness Center

I accepted an invite to join the Zumba classes at JNA Dance and Fitness Center at Shangri-la Mall together with my blogger friends. Zumba is a very popular dance workout and I know some people who just watch the videos on Youtube and follow the steps in their own homes. But for me, Zumba is best enjoyed when you’re in a group and dancing in the studio with energetic music.

Trying out Plana Forma

Still aiming for a healthy lifestyle and losing the bulges on my tummy, I try to run once or twice a week in UP. It’s also my preparation for the first leg of Run United 2013, I registered in the 5-km category. However, I still wanted to incorporate additional fitness routine and thinking of signing up for a gym membership. I haven’t decided yet and I wanted to try other options. I already tried CrossFit and will try Zumba in a few weeks. Good thing a friend tipped me that Plana Forma is offering free trial classes for the month of February.

C-lium Lose More, Live More Week 4: CrossFit Work-out

Week 4 of my C-Lium Lose More, Live More journey is the most memorable and action-packed of all. This week, C-Lium Ambassadors met up at the Philippine Army Gym for the CrossFit workout. CrossFit is new to me, so I visited their website first for me to know what to expect. And whoa, I got scared at first, at the same time, curious about CrossFit.

CrossFit workouts are constantly varied movements executed at high intensity, thus every workout is different and you will rarely do the same thing twice. The workouts themselves are completely scalable, which means that a new participant and an elite athlete can complete the same workout with changes in load and intensity. CrossFit workouts will deliver phenomenal fitness in and of themselves or as a compliment to your sport-specific training regime.

Basically, CrossFit is not your ordinary workout, but it is for ordinary people looking for extraordinary results.
