Michael Kors watches are the hot blings nowadays. Browse through Instagram from people posting their #armparty or #armswag for the day and you’ll spot a Michael Kors watch there.

That perfect evening dress

I was watching The Buzz earlier and I was awed by gorgeous gowns worn by celebrities at the Star Magic Ball 2013. Celebrities like Kim Chiu, Shaina Magdayao, Kathryn Bernado, Dimples Romana, etc. must have put a lot of time and effort in looking great that at the Star Magic Ball. Kudos to their respective designers too because they came up with elegant dresses at the ball.

Oh how I wish it’s prom night again. So that I can experience another magical night, it’s fun to dress up once in a while you know. Years ago, it was so difficult to find nice and affordable prom or evening dresses. At our Graduation Ball, my mother suggested that we buy the materials and have my gown made by our trusty dressmaker. But I wasn’t happy with the outcome then, it’s far from the gowns I used to see in magazines but what can I do, we have limited resources (materials-wise, etc.) back then.

But ladies can now rejoice because there are plenty of options today to make your prom night, graduation ball or any other occasion seemed like a fairy tale come true. Aside from the very talented designers, there are sites like DressFirst that offers designer-like gowns but at an affordable price. You can choose the color and size, you can even have the size customized for a perfect fit.

Here are my picks from DressFirst:

A-Line/Princess Scoop Neck Floor-Length Tulle Prom Dress With Ruffle Lace

A-Line/Princess One-Shoulder Floor-Length Chiffon Prom Dress With Ruffle Beading Sequins

Empire Sweetheart Asymmetrical Chiffon Prom Dress With Ruffle Beading

If there will be a special occasion that requires evening gowns, I will definitely order from them.

Style and comfort with Caribbean Footwear

Flip flops are a must-have in everyone’s closet especially here in the Philippines. Gone are the days when flip flops were just worn at home because of it’s plain and simple designs. Now, it is part of a fashion statement, not only that, a lot of people wear them because of the comfort it offers no other footwear can.

Last April 3, 2013, Caribbean Footwear was introduced to us group of bloggers. This is the first time I heard of this brand but turns out they have been around since 1995. They are the former manufacture for big footwear companies but in 2010, they established the Caribbean brand. Their latest collection for summer is the Urban Safari Collection which features bold prints, vibrant colors, and chic neutrals.

Casio vintage watches haul

Casio vintage watches are hot items since last year. Fashion bloggers always wear it on their outfit posts especially the gold watches. I got tempted to buy from Multiply/Facebook shops but I managed to wait until our HK trip last November. Good thing I waited because I was able to choose, see and fit the actual watches before buying. Since I can’t choose one, I bought two watches and Jeff bought one for himself.

Casio models: AQ-230, AL190, and A158W

Reminiscing Pupung through Solo’s New Collection

Solo never failed to give us nostalgic attack with its Pinoy Cartoonist Memorabilia Series. Yearly, Solo pays tribute to Pinoy Pop Culture with homegrown Pinoy iconic cartoonists.  Solo brought us back to the heyday of Filipino comics when komiks magasins used to be a big form of entertainment of most Pinoys. Finally shopped at Uniqlo SM Mall of Asia

After its grand opening last June 15, it’s only now that I was able to visit and shop at Uniqlo. The lines during the first few days were phenomenal, I heard. Earlier, there were also plenty of people shopping but no lines to get in. But I have to fall in line for a few minutes in the fitting room.

My Uniqlo Hello Kitty shirt from UT Vote & Win

It’s one of those rare times that I get to win in a contest. That’s why I’m ecstatic if I was drawn as a winner, doesn’t matter if the prize is big or small. I joined Uniqlo’s Vote and Win contest via their Facebook app just because I’d like to see the UT designs particularly the Hello Kitty and Lulu Guinness shirts.
