Karylle as the endorser of Jeunesse Anion Sanitary Napkins

I was invited at Karylle’s press conference at Patio Carlito last week for the launch of Jeunesse, the newest line of feminine napkin products specifically designed for modern-day Filipinas.

I shall make a separate post on my beauty blog about the Anion sanitary napkin plus a demo from the press con.

At the press con, I can’t help but notice that Karylle is prettier in person than on TV. Event photos below…

From Rivermaya to Bamboo to Hijo

I’m really not updated with the music scene these days. I’m stuck with the music I listened to during high school and college days, and these are alternative music with a bit of rock. Eraserheads (of course!), Rivermaya, Wolfgang, Parokya ni Edgar are some of them. They became my fave bands because aside from their music, *ehem* I also got a crush in one or two of its members *blush*. In Eheads, it’s Ely, in Rivermaya, it’s Bamboo and Nathan Azarcon.

I really can’t recall if Nathan sang while in Rivermaya. But I got excited when I read that with his new band Hijo, he is the frontman now.

Hijo is Nathan Azarcon’s new band, other band members are Ira Cruz (guitarist), Vic Mercado (drummer), Junji Lerma (guitarist) and Jay Orduna (keyboards).

Hijo’s first single is “Tamalee”, watch it…

Manny Pacquiao’s latest TV commercial is HP Veer 4G. “The little guy that can pack a punch”. Manny Pacquiao received $ 1 million just for this endorsement.

HP Veer 4G is a smartphone the size of a credit card but packs a lot of features, just like Manny Pacquiao.

Chuck Bass, Ed Westwick for Penshoppe updates

Ed Westwick may have left the Philippines last June 2 but I still have that Chuck Bass fever with me. I can’t wait to see Penshoppe’s billboards with Ed Westswick on it, what a beautiful sight while stuck in traffic along Edsa.

The billboards will be launched some time in July. In the meantime, enjoy the snippets of Ed Westwick interview taken from Spot.ph.

On his similarities and differences with his character on the hit show Gossip Girl, Chuck Bass:

“We’re both male. We both look alike, which is very strange, isn’t it? But no, we’re actually very different. He’s such an amazing character to play, so much fun, and I have a great time working with the all the people working in the show, but I live quite a different life I’m afraid to say. I don’t ride the limousine quite often.

But one thing he will never have on me is this English charm. He’s got that American charm, but he doesn’t have the English charm, you know.”

On Manila:

“This is my first time in the Philippines and I have to say [it's been] really good because everyone’s made me feel really, really welcome…I was feeling a little jetlagged until I came out here and there are lots of bright lights and lots of people so now I’m wide awake. It’s been a very, very good trip. Every thing’s gone really, really well. We had a great time during the shoot yesterday. That was fantastic. Everybody involved in Penshoppe has been amazing. And then today I went out on a boat around Manila Bay. I went to take a look at the Manila skyline. You have a beautiful city here, a beautiful country, and beautiful, fantastic people.”

On how he finds Filipino women:

“Well, I haven’t found any yet. In general, everbody I got to meet has been fantastic, but the Filipino women, they seem to have quite an attractive look I have to say. It’s one of the reasons why I’m coming back.”

Gossip Girl fans will surely jump for joy if the news about Edward Westwick or popularly known as Chuck Bass coming to Manila, Philippines is true. I just read this from FashionPulis.com, teehee! He’s supposed to do a photo shoot for a local fashion brand. And I vouch for FP’s credibility so I hope this is true.

Ed Westwick coming to Manila?

I’m almost sure that sales for that fashion brand will soar because of the popularity of Chuck Bass. Why not? His good looks and amazing bod must be one of conjugated linoleic acid side effects. This, and a lot more beauty secrets of Hollywood stars.

Perhaps you’ve seen some posts from Facebook about the steamy and sexy pre-nup video of couple Maggie Wilson and Victor Consunji. The Maggie-Victor pre-nup video was shot by Jason Magbanua, a very very talented videographer. I must say the video is great, I liked it, sexy but done in a very artistic manner. Maggie Wilson sizzles in her shots and I bet her fiance Victor Consunji doesn’t need male enhancements just by seeing Maggie. But knowing that it’s for a pre-nuptial purpose, I don’t think it’s appropriate to be shown in front of your guests at the reception unless all your guests are very open-minded.
